Wedding Dress Shopping in DC area - any store recommendations?

Hello,
A friend of mine is going shopping for her wedding gown in the DC area in the next few weeks.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to shops she should check out?

My friend is open to looking in all areas of DC, but any Arlington-area suggestions are extra-welcome.

    I moved to DC right when I got engaged and found that getting a dress in DC was not going to happen bc they are way over priced in my opinion. But i do recommend Hitched Salon in Georgetown. I had a great experience at Rizik's too but both were pretty pricey for what I wanted.  I also went to ellies bridal in Alexandria and it was ok- def was priced better.  I ended up getting my dress in Annapolis, MD at Annapolis Formal which had the best price and they were also very friendly.  This is just my two cents.     I got my dress at Rizik's because they were having a 50% off sample sale.  They were so kind and patient at Rizik's and have a ton of dresses...by far the best experience I had shopping for my dress.  I also looked at: Hitched (not a great experience...felt very cramped w/a ton of other girls in there and not a lot of attention from the ladies working in the salon), Carmine's (very limited selection and very expensive), Hannelore's (great experience w/Maureen), White Swan (horrible, dresses dragged across the floor, no help putting the dresses on) and Distinctive Bridal (great experience).

    Would highly suggest checking out Bridal Images in Rockville, MD., they have a great selection of gorgeous gowns not seen anywhere else, and even sample gowns.  The sales consultants are so experienced that they can tell you what will look good and point you in the right direction.  Good luck to you!!

    I would suggest going to Love Couture Bridal in Potomac. They are GREAT there!
