Great Gatsby theme?

Hey ladies... I am thinking of doing a Great Gatsby/1920s theme for my wedding. I am not going to overboard with the theme but would like to have suble decorations. I am stuck on what color scheme to go with. My wedding is Nov. 3 2012 and I was wondering if anyone can give some color suggestions. Thank you :)

    Have you read Gatsby? I saw a very cool production of it last year. They read the book cover-to-cover while performing, it was really amazing. However, the story is...er...about fraud, tragedy, and entitlement....  It's a tough theme, sorta....

    That said, 20s and the deco stuff is great. I know people here have done it and they've had great ideas. I love the black/cream/gold sort of thing we were discussing one other time. And in winter that seems quite elegant and loaded with opportunity.

    Art deco was the major style during the 1920s and featured a lot of geometric patterns and almost always incorporated black. Lots of times it also had white, red, cream, or light pink. Think classic Coco Chanel.

    Love Great Gatsby!! Cool theme too :) I would definitely google search for some inspiration and I personally would go with the black, creme and blush pink color scheme.  Herre is a link to a great gatsby inspired photo shoot! Hope it helps!

    And if you really want to stick to Great Gatsby more then just Art Deco, there are some great colors in Great Gatsby.  Color is a somewhat important theme throughout that book.  Gold is used quite a bit to describe things... "the golden days" "golden age" "golden oppurtunity" "golden girl" and stands for the richness and prosperity (at certain point in the book). Daisy wears a lot of yellow as well ( a muted gold)

    Then there are tons of blues and greens. A green light is described often.
