Harris' Pelham Inn

I live in Florida, but am moving to Chelmsford, MA & that's where my wedding will be.  I'm looking for an inexpensive, but nice site between Boston & Manchester, NH.  Does anyone have any reviews on Harris Pelham Inn (Pelham, NH)?  Thanks!

    I had my wedding there in Nov. They were super nice and very accommodating. We are still getting raves about the food. I highly recommend it. GL

    This place was somewhat out of our budget, but it was BEAUTIFUL when we went to visit. I also really liked it because they have a really pretty area inside to have the ceremony in case the weather isn't great.

     Thanks Amanda!  Did you freeze in November?  They offer 20% discount on food from Nov-April 15, which is appealing.

    Thanks redvi!  Where did you decide to get married?  We'll likely be paying for our wedding ourselves, so any advice you can give re. a less expensive venue would be appreciated!

    We looked there, but they unded up having a minimum guest count of 175 for Saturday nights... that was waaaay more than we wanted to invite! But I have heard the food is really good and the grouns are beautiful.

    We attended a wedding reception there in April 2009.  The place was really nice, but it took a while to get there from the wedding site, (which was in Nashua).  It is a little "out of the way", but otherwise, I thought that they did a nice job.  The wedding that we went to was small, (less than 50 people at the reception).

    It was REALLY cold the day we got married but it was refreshing! As you can see by my siggy picture we took outdoor pictures and the grounds are AMAZING.

    Like PP said it is kinda off the beaten path but at the same time right off 93. We had our ceremony in Pelham as well so it was really only about a 5 min drive. All my guests loved it. They decorate for the season too. We payed for it ourselves and had a Sat night wedding so we had to pay for 175 people which only cost us about $6000. It was a more reasonable space for a larger group of people. 

    Actually they were very accommodating. DH's grandfather passed away a week before our wedding and my uncle passed away a week after our wedding so neither was there, we also got married in the height of the swine flu so we had a few guests who couldn't attend due to that. They allowed us to use the money that should have gone toward those guests for an open bar for our wedding party. They were so helpful at a time that DH and I were going thru a lot of pain.

    We actually ended up in Concord, NH at the Holiday Inn.

    I think Alpine Grove in Hollis, NH was relatively cheap too.

    Amanda - I'm so sorry to hear about everything you went through, but it sounds like Harris Pelham made your wedding day really wonderful!  I can totally understand - my fiance's father is battling colon cancer so I'm worried about him.  It sounds like we are kind of on the same page re. budget, although i'm looking for about 100 ppl.  Unfortunately, being a future transplant I don't know the area very well.  Do you mind if I email you sometime re how you planned the reception & who you used to do your hair/makeup & photographer.  Love the siggy pic!!!
