Too Jays as caterer?

Hello! My fiance and I just got back from Too Jays to do some taste testing. It was DELICIOUS and we definitely think we want to go with them...not to mention that they are so affordable (about $11 per person!!!).

I wanted to get on here and ask if anyone has used Too Jays as their catering for their wedding, and what their thoughts were after the fact.

Another thing is that my mom thinks that using Too Jays would "offend" the guests, like we didn't want to spend the extra money on better quality food. Does anyone have thoughts about that? I don't see anything wrong with Too Jays and with saving some money (I'd rather spend about $1,500 than $5,000...). I just feel like food is not the most important and definitely not the most memorable piece of the wedding, so why spend so much money on it when there is such a delicious and affordable option?

Thoughts please?! :)

Thanks!

This is an international board. You might have better luck posting this on your local board. :)

I think Too Jays is fine if that's what you want to go with. How will guests even know where it came from or how much you paid for it?? Most guests have no clue if the food is homecooked, store bought or catered, as long as it's good! I'm sure they have plenty of options and a great display to "mask" that it's from a restaurant but if you are worried about your guests will think, then trust me, they won't know or care.

    IM USING TOOJAYS!!! =)

I work for them, so not only is it cheap as crap to begin with...I get employee discount! haha.

Seriously though, they're really professional ppl...SUPER easy to work with and they're very flexible. The food is always fresh and you get A LOT for the price. I'd say go for it. Its YOUR money and if your guests are "offended" by your caterer, then that's their problem...YOU CANT TELL A DIFFERENCE ANYWAYS! lol.

    Good luck !! =)

So do they supple table cloths, china, and table ware? I think the only thing that would discourage me from using them is if they only suplly food then I'd have to get other vendors for the rest and I don't want 15 vendors to deal with on the big day. I think every one will love the food if you decide to go with them! Hooray for NOT spending $50 a person!

Where are you guys having your receptions that you can have anyone cater? I'm kind of jealous. I love LMEC, but would love some cheaper options for catering.

Yep!! I work at that one, but since the wedding is in Winter Park...our Orlando location is covering it. =)

My location (Winter Park Farmers Market) let us use whatever caterer we wnated. I dont think your guests would be offended by using TooJays, but I disagree that food is not impotant or memorable.
Bad food will be remembered by everyone! I do not think TooJays is bad, but in general if your food is bad people will notice and remember and talk about it.
I DON'T think you will have a problem with the taste and quality of TooJays as your caterer- I LOVE their food!

Not to sound like a jerk, but personally, if someone that came to my wedding was "offended" by my choice of caterer, I would think they were a total snob and regret even inviting them in the first place.  People that judge me for the amount of money I have to spend on things are not the kind of people I want to surround myself with..

So, basically, what I am saying is, no I do not think anyone will judge you based on your caterer choice (unless you had bad food.. then they may talk about that, but that doesn't seem to be an issue here..)  And if they do talk about you, then who cares, because they are probably not really good enough to be your friend anyway!!

I have no idea about their dinner or wedding catering capabilities but I will say that I got Toojay's catering for breakfast for my girls and me on the morning of the wedding.  They showed up on time, they had good prices.  The food was delicious and hot.  They brought all the utensils and napkins and silverware so I didn't have to worry about anything.  they were great.
