Hi!  It looks like I'm the next person after you to get the parasol and there's kind of a gap between us!  How long are you on Maui?  We get in on the 29th so I don't know if we'll overlap at all.  Of course we can figure things out closer ;)

    Hey,

    We head back around 11pm on the 25th - is there anywhere or anyone I can leave it with for you in Maui?? I'm staying in the Kihei area.

    Otherwise I can ship it out the day after the wedding on the 20th but not sure how long it'll take to get to you?

    Hmmm, I don't know if there's anyone you can leave it with, we're not using a coordinator, but maybe our photog?  I'll drop her an email and let you know!  Who knows, by the time it gets closer, we may have someone in between us :)

    Totally... and I also may change my mind if I'm going to use it at all, I'll know for sure within the week. I've got all of the stuff to attempt a DIY parasol. I love the idea of being handed down from knottie to knottie but I'm thinking it might be near the end of its days and I really want to use one for our thank you cards. Who knows - if mine turns out maybe I'll pass mine down if anyone wants it : )

    That's kind of how I feel too!  How long can a parasol last really?

    I actually bought a Just Maui'd one from Etsy, I'm not crafty enough to make my own, but I like the idea of the Mahalo!

    I know right!! Someone asked a few months back how it was doing and I remember someone saying something about having to glue it back together - I would hate to be the person that broke or had it break on my watch after being passed down for so long LOL, I'd feel horrible.

    I do like the Mahalo but then I was thinking..... how many of my family members would realize that the Mahalo meant thank you on our thank you cards LOL.

    butting in - the parasol does have an old feel to it. I don't know how to describe it but it definitely is a quality parasol! I think the thing that would really break it would be to have it out on a windy day! We seriously only used it for 5 minutes, and I'd opened it once before just to have a look, so it might be more durable than you think!

    Thanks Aubs!! I'm really torn at what I want to do - I love your picture with it and I really like the idea of it being passed down (and the fact that it's in better shape then I thought)... just don't know if I'm in love with the idea of panicing to get it off to the next bride or the responsiblity if it doesn't show up for them.

    Hmmmmmm more decisions LOL
