NWR: recommend your favorite Spanx or other type of body shaper??

My shower dress is a white linen-ish Bebe dress. I have NEVER worn Spanx or any other type of body shapers before, but I feel like they might really help with this dress, since it is white and pretty tight/ un-forgiving.

Have any of you used/worn any type of high waist body shapers before to wear under dresses?? I am considering going to find some this week but I am not sure what I would even get!

    Yes I have spanx. I have the kind that goes up to the top of your waist. I prefer spanx over any other brand cause I feel that they do the job over any others I have tried.

    Great question! I would like to know what brands are the best too. Anything I have bought in the past showed lines or bumps. I'd love to find something that will suck everything in without being too uncomfortable.

    I agree with Bells. I have the Spanx that goes up right under your boobs and then goes down to your knees. I got it for a see-through dress and it works very well. How short is your dress? Since you're much taller than me, I'm sure the ones that come down to my knees would come about mid-thigh for you.

    The website is blocked at my work, so I can't send the link, but it's the one that is very high waisted and then comes down like long shorts.

    I tried spanx and I like them ok. I have these (click) and my biggest complaint is that they start to roll down after a while. But I think I've read that's because they're too big or too small. I can't say I've had any body shaper that I've LOVED or anything.

    I love the Super-higher power spanx...don't waste your money on their simplicity brand...the ones in the boxes do just fine, if not better. plus they're half the price...

    I love my Spanx...I think I have the Slim Cognito.  It comes right under your bra and hits me mid-thigh.  Mine doesn't have the hookthing that loops onto my bra, but I've never had a problem with rolling or bunching or anything.  I've worn it under white and was perfectly fine.
