Airbrush vs. regular makeup

I know this has been discussed before probably, but I can't remember. I haven't been reading the boards much for months.

What are the pros and cons of airbrush makeup? (vs. regular makeup)
It is pricier, I know it allegedly lasts for a long time, but does it cover up blemishes well? I have acne and scarring that is difficult to cover. I don't have the money for a derm, and am trying to figure out if the cost of airbrush is worth it.

Also, anyone have recs for makeup artists that are affordable? If it is at a salon it has to be one that is open on Sundays.

Thanks!

I had airbursh - thank the Lord because my face broke out the day of my wedding. You couldnt even tell I had a blemish on any of my photos and I was shocked that you couldnt tell even in the closeups. The liquid foundation tends to sit in blemishes and creases in your face- airbrush is much smoother and gives that finished look.

the only way to really know is to try it!  I recommend Kelly Ledford from Cinci makeup.

I had airbrush done back in September for a wedding and loved it! I have the same problems as you. It didn't even feel like I had anything on, and covered up everything!!! We went to Sephora in Kenwood mall, but they have those in almost all department stores now. I highly recommend airbrush...will be using it for my wedding in April.
