  First looks are done all the time.  Your photographer can help you--alot will depend on what locations at your venue are good.  I have pics of our reveal in my bio.
  
  My original idea was to use our actual ceremony space and walk down the aisle to him just like I would at our ceremony.  But the photographer thought there was more room and better light in a different area so we used that instead.  I was so excited I didn't even realize we weren't doing what we had originally talked about until much later.

  Thanks everyone!! I like the idea of counting to three. I actually like all of them. I'm glad I'm not the only one doing this and going away from the traditional. I typically very traditional so it will be fun to do something different.
