We're going Sunday.  Our favorite show is always the bird show--I forget what it's called though.  We love it.

My favorite food is ALWAYS the Fletcher corny dog!

We always tried the Fried Food of the Year also.  The best one I ever had was the year they had fried cheesecake.

    We are also going Sunday.

I like the dog show and the bird show.  I love all the food at the fair.  I'm excited because it will be the day after the wedding so I can indulge in all the yumminess!  FI is looking forward to the Tom Landry exhibit this year.  I like the car show and seeing all the concept cars!

We are going Thursday! I LOVE the fair! It is one of my favorite things about Fall/October!

    favorite exhibit?
We love the car show and we always ride the ferris wheel. There is another ride that we ride every year that usually makes me want to throw up my lunch but we still do it!

favorite show? (pig races, dogs, etc)
The dog show! And I am also 4 years old and I love the petting zoo!

    favorite food?
I usually don't go for the fried food. I just get something regular like chicken strips or something but maybe I'll get a wild hair this year and try something fried!

i've gone twice this year-- once with family and once with friends.

didn't really have a favorite show. we watched the pig races and the dobermans. neither were too impressive

favorite show was the international dances

fav food-- i'm with stephie! love fletchers :) for the first time this year my friends made me try crazy foods. i tried the fried butter (tastes like a biscuit) and a fried PB&J (m'eh).

it was lots of fun, just overly crowded. had to go this year because i'll be moving out of state after the wedding!

DH and are planning to go after work today. I want to ride the ferris wheel and eat a corn dog.

I tried a fried cosmopolitan the last time I went in 2006?? It wasn't good. :/

[QUOTE]Favorite food is a too-close-to-call match between the fried frito pie and the fried pecan pie.  Mmmmm.  Definitely worth the 45-minute wait.

We're not going this year, but I still recommend the fried butter with grape jelly.  I didn't like the fried moon pie--they use the banana one and it looked like overly processed yellow cheese.  Normally I don't have a problem with that but this just looked disgusting.  We could not find the friend peach cobbler last year.

I love the petting zoo too.  The llama hid from me three years ago.

I have a fletchers every time I go.  As soon as we walk in, we stop at the big trailor and get one first.  IT's always fun to try the odd fried food.  I'm thinking fried frito pie and donkey tails are going to be what I try this year.  IF all else fails, funnel cakes.  yum.

I always like the dogs that do all the tricks, but I'm going to have to check out this bird show that y'all mentioned.

DH's favorite is to see the butter sculpture, we both love the car show, and I'm going to have to check out the pumpkin carving (I never knew it existed).

Ooh, thanks Kathy! My mom gave me her free teacher ticket and a free student ticket, but if they won't let us use those we'll take some Coke bottles. We were going to go Friday, but it looks like it's going to be cooler Thursday so I'm going to suggest switching. I want to save on admission so I can afford to eat more :)

We always enjoy the midway barker - he's very entertaining, and all the international dances. Also the car show, and we have to walk by the petting zoo to see all the kiddos having fun.

I've actually never been to the fair (but I've only lived in Dallas for three years).  We aren't planning to go this year (too much wedding stuff to do), but I definitely want to go next year.

Several years ago, I took two student tickets and got two teacher tickets (my own and a friends').  My brother and I got in on the student tickets and my parents used the adult tickets.

We went Saturday. SOOOOO crowded!!!! :(

At least I got some sun and my team won!!! W00T!

favorite exhibit?  we didn't do much since FI never been. We enjoyed the auto displays and I liked the arts and crafts. He liked the Food and FIber building too.

favorite show?  We saw Josh Abbot Band there Sat! That was the only show we saw. I've been there before where they have dog shows that I like.

favorite food?  CORN DOGS!! The orginial kind...they got new flavs. this year. Last year I had fried cookie dough-good but sweet and can't eat it all....This year I had the margarita...taste just like a margarita (except a little stronger). He had fried beer (so did I)...if you like Shiner Bock then go for it! It just looks like raviolis really. We also had the fried frito pie...which was a bummer cus it tasted just like frito pie.
