Registry???

Hi all,I just found this board and am very excited. I have been lurking on the other boards and there are alot of 23 year old first time brides!! This is more up my alley.. By the way, November 7, 2009 bride here!!Anyways, my Fi and I have lived together for 3.5 years and have everything we could possibly need for our home. I have had multiple people asking where we are registered. There is really nothing that we need since we blended two households when we moved in together. Are any of you doing a registry? If so, what are you asking for? I don't want to sound tacky but gift cards or cashwould suffice...Thanks!!

I'm just going to answer the question and stay out of the fray.We didn't register anywhere, because we have 2 households full of stuff, including 3 sets of china and 7 crockpots (seriously).  I think it's tacky to ask for cash or giftcards, even though that's what I really want gift-wise.  I'm hoping people know us well enough to realize we don't need a toaster (or crock pot!) and act accordingly.  But I'm sure we'll get something we absolutely do not need!

Love your post!  I tried to post this question on the regular "gift and registry" board and a bunch of those 20 something first time bridezillas immediately jumped my sh**.  Apparently in first timer land, you are completely gauche to even THINK about registering for a second wedding.  (which is a little strange, considering the issue came up because people keep asking me and my mom where we are registered.)   All I asked for was advice on different honeymoon fund websites....
I think the honeymoon fund is a cool idea personally... we love to travel more than anything, and are paying for the wedding ourselves so our honeymoon is waiting until we are able to save up.
