What are/were your wedding colors?

I'm horribly indecisive (I blame my Libra stars!), so I've been waffling on colors for months.

I think I've finally decided on royal blue and spring green, with little splashes of that pale pink color you'll find on catcus flowers.  Since most of our guests will be coming from out of town and the venue doesn't exactly scream Arizona, I want to bring a little bit of the desert into the decor and details -- hence the blue/green/pink inspiration from the desert in bloom.  :)

Anyway, since I've had colors on my brain, I'm very curious: What are (or were) yours?  How did you choose them?

We are getting married in November.  While I am not doing a fall wedding, we are using fall colors - Burnt Orange, Fall Green (not sage), Chocolate.  Fall is my favorite season and those colors are the color pallet in my house.  I just love them!

I love the blue and green feel and the touches of pink will look great with the dark wood at Starfire!  For flowers, you may look into using succulents!  They are pretty popular and would really add to the desert theme that you are going for!  I have a picture at home of a boutonniere made whit succulents.  Very pretty!

I love those rich fall colors!  Chocolate and sage are two of the three dominant colors in my house, too.  (The third is Florida pink, which sounds horrific in combination but really works.)  Your colors will work really well with the pallete at Starfire; if I remember correctly, the carpets are brown and the walls are a pale, almost mustard-cream yellow.

I really, really like the idea of a succulent bouquet and even boutonnieres.  I've been stalking Butterfly Petals' portfolio and am planning to contact her soon.  I just hope I can afford her!  I haven't priced florists yet but I suspect succulents will be expensive.

My colors are charcoal/pewter (dark silver-ish) and "natural" green. I hate to say moss, because people think darker and I'm thinking the color actual moss is, like leaves and flower stems. :)

It's kind of my own spin on black and white with green accents. The pewter is mostly because I didn't want black bridesmaids dresses. My flowers will be mostly white and green. I love your little cactus flower. :)

We're doing reds and oranges, with gold and chocolate brown accents. We were originally having a fall wedding in Sedona, so it seemed perfect. Now we're doing it here, at the Desert Botanical Gardens, in March. I'm hoping the colors will still look nice against in the garden.

I did black and fushia as the main colors and then I threw in some lime green and bright orange to make it bright and fun.  Pictures of the combo in my bio

We're doing blush pink and torquoise blue.

I was originally thinking blush pink and a soft grass green, but when we found our venue (Val Vista Lakes)- it's very bright with lots of color, and the green would have faded into the background.  I've known I wanted to do blush pink for a while, and I've been obsessed with torquoise blue lately.  Hopefully I'll still be into it next year (wedding in March).

    Where is your venue?

I'm a late spring wedding so our colors are light blue and chocolate brown with some ivory/champagne accents. Those colors sound beautiful together!

We are getting married lakeside, so our colors are cornflower blue and a pale yellow.  Not very original, but two of my very favorite colors.

Before booking at Val Vista Lakes, I wanted to have a pewter and ivory wedding.  It was also really difficult trying to find cute pewter bridesmaid dresses haha!

Our colors are navy and white.  This is my third time changing them, so we'll see if this combo sticks.  We're still a ways off (wedding in Jan), so who knows :)

I honestly love all of these combinations.  I adore everything chocolate (the color, and the sin ;), and pewter and moss sounds especially unique!

I like chocolate, too but was worried it would clash with black tuxes. I'm excited about my colors, but Nilla is right. It is a little tricky finding pewter bridesmaids dresses. Alfred Angelo carries a good charcoal color. I am dying to look at bridesmaid dresses, but ALL of my girls live far away so I have to wait until one comes to town. I don't want to make the decision alone. It sounds like your colors are similar, Celles, substituting blue for pewter. I bet your pink accents will be gorgeous!

I am doing the blue and green color combo also. I am thinking of having my bridesmaids dresses in Horizon blue from Davids bridal and then having lime green accents througout the ceremony and reception (green bouquets for them, blue bouquet for me).  We are getting married in Feb 2011 and I didn't want the traditional red wedding. I love the color combo of dark blue and light green, it really goes with the fun atmosphere we are going for.
