How did you decide on one?

I have three that I am debating with and all of their prices are very similar, 1 is a lot cheaper for BM's but bridal is about the same.

They all charge for trials, so it's not like I can get a trial with each and see who did best....

Should I schedule a consultation meeting with them all to make a decision? If I do that, what do I ask?

Ahhh idk how to decide.

    I'm paying for the make-up for my BMs, so honestly ... it was the one that had the best reviews and most reasonable prices for BMs.  She responded quickly to all of my questions, and gave me a deal, too.

    Remember, everything is negotiable ... maybe see if they'd go lower than posted prices!!

    I decided base on price, availability/response times, and general attitude.

    I dealt with one MUA/H person who was IMPOSSIBLE to get on the phone and it was a huge PITA to schedule a time that both of us had availabe for a consultation, and her attitude sucked a big one.... she kept trying to give me sob stories and make me pity her because she is a single mom (which I am sympathetic towards, but I want my $$$ to go to someone who will be available and who is good at communication).

    My MUA/H person now has been amazing to work with, and I'm having my trial on Saturday (before my Shower).  Her prices were better for H and MU for BMs than the sucktastic MUA before, and everything is straight forward and easy to understand, and she had no problem making up a contract for me (it isn't the norm, but she'll do it if asked).  Emailing with her has been great, and she gets my ideas/inspiration.  I'm sure I'll have more good things to say about her on Monday's Check-In.

    If I were you, I would try to meet with them for a consultation to make sure they don't have sucky personalities.  Do any of them take FOREVER to email or return your calls?  When one of the 3 shows the most potential, book a trial, and if you like it, Book her!  And if not, then try one of the other two.

    You could also see if they have a portfolio. Most hair professionals that do special events do. :)
