Help! Reception ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hello!
I'm getting married in LV in November 2012 and I need ideas for restaurants/hotels/anything that will cater to wedding receptions. I've done a little research and am feeling rather overwhelmed.
Thanks!!

We can help you a whole lot better if you give us an idea of your budget and guest count. What kind of food do you like? What kind of atmosphere are you looking for?

Preferred food, budget, number of guests?  And do you know where you're getting married already?

    Food/alchohol Budget - up to $5000
    About 60 guests

We're thinking about having the ceremony at Flamingo. As for the reception, we we're originally thinking about holding a cocktail reception, but we are open to other ideas (ie. sit down dinner, buffet, etc).
    Thanks for the help!

Back out your tax and service and you are looking for somewhere that can do F&B for about $4000 or $67 PP.

(does that have to include your cake too?)
    Bi-oh-rama
    Now with more wedded bliss.

I don't get married often, but when I do, I do it in Las Vegas.

Check out the Platinum Hotel. Your budget will work there, and it includes the ceremony. They'll work with your budget and there's room to negotiate with prices. Welcome to the boards!

FYI, Maggiano's cheapest package is $74pp without tax/service fee/tip.  They may have other options, but that's what I've seen for weddings.

We are using the Stardust Suite at The Orleans. It's a catering only suite and you can book the adjoining 2 bed 3 bath presidential suite. It's a $3500 food minimum with no room fee, and there is enough seating for all your guests to sit at the same time (no formal tables....more of a cocktail setting).

If u have a suite that allows outside catering (I think platinum does) masterpiece food and booze quote was apx $55 a person plus tax, tip, and bartender. bartender was 180, tip and taxes are 30% ish. I was told the apps are really filling, and sounded delicious.

We're doing our cocktail reception at Trevi for about 60 people for the same budget. We have the mezzanine floor booked for ourselves. Michelle Woodruff is the coordinator there and she has been awesome. The Trevi is at the Caesar's Palace forum shops. If you want more info, please let me know.

We had a brunch reception at Mon Ami Gabi for roughly $65 per person including alcohol, tax, and gratuity. Firefly is also reasonably priced. Last time I looked they had a tapas buffet for $35 per person not including alcohol or gratuity. Have you looked at Open Table? They have a list of group dining options in Las Vegas on their website.
