I want to know...

Your favorite wedding favor ideas!

Hey my Houston Knotties! I am about to head to class ( unfortunately ) but I thought I would do a quick post.

I have been searching on wedding favors recently and have come across a few great/cute ideas.

What are/were your wedding favors? If you had any.
Where did you get them? Or was is a DIY favor?

Time to wake this board up! :)

xoxo, Jennifer

I think lotto scratch offs with a label/sticker on the envelope seal saying 'Lucky in Love' is cute, extra cute if a personalized penny is included.

Also seen personalized fortune cookies, candle favor being exact replica of wedding cake, personalized chocolate wrappers..

    Best site I have seen/used is beau-coup

We are doing little mason jars of hot chocolate mix. It is going to be a DIY project, but it is one of the few things that the fiance' is really excited about, so I am for it. lol.
And now we are as one

For: custom penny that includes your names and wedding date, coppermemories.com, you can choose from their template or use your own, email them for pricing: Marketing@coppermemories.com

You can get the glassine envelopes from ebay, I had bought 100 of them for $15.

Here's the link to the idea: http://www.blissweddingsmarket.com/brideideas/glassine_lottery.htm

we gave away seed packets for favors. this worked for our wedding because it was very "us" and i liked the aspect that it can be a memory from the wedding for years to come.

abramlett79 - I really like that idea.  Who makes the truffles?  And if you don't mind me asking, about how much are they?

I vote for something edible as well.  To be honest, most of the other little trinkets will end up in the trash.

We did our favorite cookie (oatmeal raisin) and favorite candy (ferrero rocher).

We are giving out Ghirardelli chocolates since they are based out of SF where FI is from.

I am ALL for edible/drinkable favors. My favorites have been the homemade recipe ones.

I was on the December 2010 board and one of them had mentioned doing ceramic mugs with hot chocolate packets in them and I was thinking about adding some cookies to it. Finish it off with some ribbon and I think it would be super cute. I also found discount mugs for about $0.84 a piece if you buy more than 144. Now I'm just trying to figure out how many to order.
