Ok, so FI spoke to his recruiter today. As some of you may remember, he's trying to get a scholarship through the Army so that he can be an Army Dentist.
The process has been pushed back twice now, and this last October he was supposed to find out if he was going to sign for the 3 yr/4 yr commitment deal. Well, we never heard from the Army, so FI called the recruiter today. Recruiter says they are making the calls now, and he may hear from them any day now. He also said that a girl above him on the list was offered one, and she declined it, I'm guessing he told FI that to give him hope? IDK... I feel like I should be excited, but then he tells me not to be, cause this means nothing. Which, I can understand since he's been let down twice so far. Apparently, there is no doubt he will get it, eventually... but if it's not this time around, then it will be reduced to a 2 yr, which means an added debt, and it also means an added year with his mom. (As I wrote that, I said "shiit" out loud.)
There's nothing we can do but wait. But should I even bother thinking that this will be it? I'm so, anxious...
