Is it just me?

Or do you feel like you go out of your way to try and include FI and when you do he telss you it doesn't matter, but then when you make the decision he gets upset? Yeah I was just told that I'm going to have a mardi gras/Barney in a tux themed wedding!!! Because I picked plum and apple as our colors, oh and the reason I had to originally change my colors is because FI didn't like the chocolate brown with the black tuxes!  So I make the change to make him happy and he tells me whatever I choose is fine as long as it's not pink, and then gets irritated with my barney colors...Ahhh... slightly aggrivating!

Luckily we talked it through and we're good now, sometimes it would just be nice to feel like the countless hours a spend thinking about colors, arrangements, and other ideas was appreciated!!!

Yup. FI didn't care about favors until I started talking about using the photo strips as favors... suddenly he cared all about how they were composed, that they should already have the date put on them... blah blah "it would be so easy to set up photoshop to do that." .... okay, you are more than welcome to set it up then... can't wait to see it.

Won't happen.  If you don't care, then don't suddenly care once I've already made the decision.

Yes yes yes! Not about all the details, but some things. Like the invitations. He told me he didn't really care what they looked like, and I asked him go to online and flip through my bridal magazines (yeah, right!) and come up with some that he liked. And he was like, eh, I don't care. So I came up with a bunch of ideas and he hated all of them! He was analyzing them and their "white to text ratio." ugh! We finally did agree on one but I was annoyed that he couldn't bother to come up with some examples of stuff he liked, when he obviously had very strong opinions about them, and then tore down all of mine!

FWIW, I think plum and apple are beautiful together! It took my FI a while to realize how much time I spent doing this stuff and appreciate the hard work I was putting into it -- although he doesn't say it enough! Once it starts to all come together and your FI can see the end result, he'll love it, I'm sure!

Just my opinion but I think plum and apple are lovely together as well:)

Lucky for me my fiance is more than happy to let me do all the planning and just raves about what a good job I have done.  He is not at all picky though, we are both very laid back.

My FI isn't too picky, his one request was to not have a "girly" bout, lol and he gets to pick out the grooms gifts and we are having a blast choosing music for the reception together.

I feel your pain... Same thing here.  I wanted Pink and Green, but that was too "girly" for him.  I'm almost glad, though.  I ended up going with a peacock feather theme that I'm LOVING now that I see it starting to come together.

Good luck!  And remember - It's these small compromises that will start getting you prepared for married life.

At least we all have eachother... haha!

I did some embossing earlier and Fi wanted to try and he was like this is kinda hard, I give you props if you do all of these... and now he's watching My Fair Wedding with me lol.  His nintendo is in hand too however!  At least he is trying to have an interest.
