Question...do you think I am on BCP, I can still chart? I was wondering so I can practice now because I want to start charting after we're married. I am thinking of ending bc in March after the honeymoon.

You can chart just to get into the routine of it but your temps will not be accurate because they change when your hormones change. Here is the link to my charts so you can see the temp changes.

While on BC you dont have hormone changes since you're not ovulating.

Make sure you have the correct type. You'll need a Basil Body Thermometer.

I'm practicing charting. We had to take a natural family planning class so we decided that is what we would do.

I use a regular thermometer, so I think it is fine, I use what they gave me in the class. I think you could temp even on the pill to practice timing but you wont get CM/temps like normal.

I got off BCP in June/July and my cycles are crazy right now, and they used to SO regular! Good luck!

If you click on the last ticker in my sig you can sign up for fertility friend. They have tutorials and its free or you can pay ( I would wait for the promo price on their fb page) I started charting at the end of a cycle so you can start whenever. Pick a time to temp that you can get up everyday and get 3 consecutive hours of sleep for it to be accurate. I just use a regular thermometer but a bbt can get a more accurate reading, down to the hundred place. Im going to start using opk's this cycle since we are tta until I get a job. You can wondfo brand on amazon $9 for 40. I stalk the bump :)

No. Charity. I haven't started to apply yet. I can't get hired until I get a temp license anyway which won't be for a while. We are still doing stuff at school so I'm working on my resume right now. (I'm moving my fi lives out of state)

I was in trauma ICU this semester at university and i was in the er as well. LOVED it there the people were great.

Congrats Kate!

And thanks to all the posters for all the helpful info on charting. I've been considering it but never thought about starting now to get used to it. We know we want to start trying next year but the dates keep changing. First it was next Nov. then it was Oct. Just the other day FI mentioned wanting me to get preggo in Sept. So I'd have to go off BC at least a few months before that. I'm sure I gave him a funny look. Not that I don't want to, just was very surprised.
