Weekend Plans!

What are everyone's weekend plans? Anything fun and exciting? Anything relaxing or boring? :-)

We are going to the Pirate game with a few friends. I'm so pumped because it's fireworks night AND Train is playing a concert after the game. I'm obsessed with Meet Virginia.

It's my mom and H's birthday so we get birthday cake. Yum. I would eat birthday cake everyday if I could.

aw man that's so awesome that you get to see Train!

    NWR:
We are going to the Seattle Sea Fair (this big fair with every different type of military aircraft flying around, boat races of all kinds, good food, good booze, etc. :) )  on Saturday.
Sunday is my grandmother's birthday so we are having dinner at my Aunt's for her. Love my Grandma :)

    WR:
    Buying the booze this weekend!
Sending off our payment to the venue but we have to make a copy of the liquor license first.
Working on my DIY gifts for the moms
    Wrapping all the WP gifts
Maaaaybe working on my centerpieces (bleh.. been putting it off... )
And in major search for a freakin belt for my dress.. *sigh*

Apparently I can't think for myself because I didn't think to unclog our toilet using a wire hanger (we don't own a plunger) so the first thing I'm doing is buying a plunger after work to start my weekend. I'm also getting my hair chopped off kind of as a deployment gift for DH. He's always wanted me to have short hair. I'll prob post pics (mostly to verify that I do or do not look like a 10 year old boy). My boss is having a BBQ part because DH is leaving and part because another girl's H is EASing and they're leaving soon. Then, we're buying my plane ticket home for 2 weeks so I can get my officer package taken care of with my "new" recruiter. Yay!

This is a post and run, since I'm crazy busy. FI and I flew up to visit my parents on Wednesday. Yesterday I did my makeup trial (love love love the artist! She even made me love fake eyelashes, which I was really skeptical about!) and then FI and I took the ferry over to Long Island for our engagement photos!!! We took sooooo many - literally 5 hours worth! Some in this cute town, some on a dock with an old boat, some on a carousel, some eating ice cream, and a whole bunch at a vineyard doing wine tasting. We are going to have soooo many pictures! And my makeup held up so well! We had a lot of fun with our photographers and are really excited that they'll be there on our wedding day! Today we're off to visit the venue - FI has never seen it and I've only seen it once in the pouring rain! And we haven't met the on site coordinator yet, so that will be good. FI's Mom is driving the 5 hours down from Syracuse to see it, my grandma (Mom's mom) is driving 1 hour down from Hartford, and my Mom is coming with us. So it's a big Mom-meet-Mom moment! We'll see how it goes! Tonight my brother flies in, which will be awesome! I haven't seen him since Christmas. And my other grandparents (Mom's dad and his wife, who have been married long before I was born) are coming in to see us all, so that'll be really nice - they're driving 4 hours down from NH. And then tomorrow is my other grandpa's 80th birthday (Dad's dad) so we'll have a big party in our yard with that whole side of the family and cousins and family friends. Then Sunday I'm running part of a half marathon with a friend (just hopping on the course for a few miles to support her) and then out on the boat with my parents and brother (and FI, obv!) and then a big lobster and clam dinner!!! Anyway, not likely to post again until Monday afternoon, but I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

We haven't decided since I just found out yesterday I would be seeing him but I know he's been wanting to see Transformers and we NEVER go see movies so we will probably do that. Usually we go to dinner and then do something in town like a baseball game or go see our favorite bartender :)

Funny story since you mentioned the wine tasting..my Christmas present to FI this past Christmas was to do lunch and a wine tasting at our favorite local vineyard. We were supposed to go the day after Christmas. It ended up snowing so much that we weren't able to do and we still haven't gone...and it's almost Christmas again!

oh sad! Yeah FI's birthday is coming up so among other things I have planned for the day, we're doing a wine tasting of 5 different breweries in Seattle. YAY. I doub it will snow and keep us from it..  :P
You should use it now and go as part of the date night tonight! Was it like a voucher already paid for or.. ?

Luckily it wasn't pre-paid so we didn't lose out on any money. FI has training for most of this month so I think we're trying to go next month after everything slows down for him. I bet your tasting will be awesome! 5 different breweries?! Sounds like my kind of weekend..plus Seattle is beautiful :)

oh good. Glad you're not missing out. boo training.. FI is in weird pilot training right now. I don't really know what it is exactly, but they are having to go through training crew by crew and it's like.. 6 weeks long. Strange.

Yeah, Seattle has some pretty awesome breweries/wineries here, so they make for great date nights. For his birthday in a couple weeks we are doing that after I take him to get a massage, and then we will go kayak on greenlake (like in north Seattle). Then to a swanky dinner at one of the trendy restaurants where he will get to open gifts. So far I have bought him the Indiana Jones Blu- Ray, a Navy Naughties poster (adorable.. he loves pin ups and it'll look great behind our bar) and a fossil watch. :]

Transformers was pretty darn good! So was Harry Potter, but I'm a little (ok a LOT) biased there ;)

Well I just realized this morning that it is Friday... H and I planned to go to Transformers or Cowboys vs Aliens don't know which day or which movie yet haha. We are still unpacking... I did get the living room put away and found my favorite spot on the couch. We need to get a drill before we can finish and I need to repair the big hole I put in the wall yesterday. :(

Next week I plan to meet some of the other wives and get use to the new base.

Mine is about the same as each weekend in the summer.  Grilling and pool time.  I am however, tossing a run (3-5 miles) which should I think, be followed by more pool time!!!

I'm not sure yet what I'll be doing this weekend, but H's ship is making a port call so I will be able to skype with him finally! I wanted to make a port visit but decided against it since he's coming back soon and we also spent a LOT of money on our wedding/HM, we need to start saving again.

I should be getting a haircut tomorrow and maybe do some shopping. I already saw a movie earlier in the week so that idea might be out already. My sister and her family are getting here on Tuesday though so I need to get the house ready for my baby niece! Have a great weekend everyone!

I will be working.  I pretty much have an awesome job, so it's not that bad.  I will also be getting awesome pizza from this awesome pizza place/pub in Anchorage and having a Star Wars marathon.  I know, I'm a nerd.

I may go for a hike IF the weather clears up, it's been raining all week!  Or I might go do some fishing!  Not sure yet.  I just try to keep busy to keep me missing FI so much.
But this is all I have planned... or... kind of planned lol ...
Hope everyone has a fun weekend!!!  :)
