Random pregnancy questiosn...

How tight are those Bella Bands or what have you?

I can only button a couple pairs of jeans currently and I have two pairs of khakis that I can button, but they're a ltitle uncomfortable to wear because the waist band is tight when I sit down.

Can you really wear one of those bands with your pants unbuttoned and your pants don't fall off?  I am not big enough for maternity pants yet, but I need to do something because I'm tired of wearing the same pants every or every other day.

As soon as I get home from work, work pants (or jeans) come off and yoga pants go on.  I have no shame any longer.  I go out to eat in yoga pants.

Thankfully, I have knit dress pants with an elastic waistband to wear to A's memorial on Sat.  I just need to find a shirt.

yes, they actually work.  i know, i was surprised too.

btw, i still have two bands from the 80s, when belly bands were known as "units" or "multiples."  one is fuschia, the other is purple.

I didn't bother with a bella band.  I just graduated to elastic waistbands and maternity stuff.  I also had stuff in my closet one size up, so I was able to wear that for a while, too.

They worked well for me.  I also used them for a little while postpartum, when I didn't fit into my old clothes yet but the maternity stuff was too big.

They do hold your pants up pretty well, but I think it's pretty obvious that you have unbuttoned pants on underneath.  So it works if you have a long shirt, but I don't buy the ads that say "no one will ever know!" and show the model holding her shirt up.

i used them until i was 16weeks or so, and they worked pretty well. I agree with DG about wearing a long shirt.

Cool.  Looks like I'm off to find one this week.

The only shirts I wear are long and I always wear a body shaper under my shirts.  So I should be good.  :)

I like them. They worked great with work pants and anything made from lighter materials. With jeans they didn't work so well for me. I figured its because denim is heavier.

I never bought one. I would just undo my jeans at work and hide it under a long top.

It was also about the time that it started getting super hot here, so I wasn't wearing pants all that much anyway. I've been wearing dresses pretty much non stop since then.
