Casual beach wedding dresses - where did you find yours

I am getting married in Florida but I do not live there. I am looking for new ideas on where to find a wedding dress, either online or if someone could recommend a specific designer or national store, that would help too. I've been to 6 stores in two states and have also ordered (and returned) dresses from 3 online stores. Why is it so hard to find something simple, informal and beachy? Here is what I am looking for:

ivory
empire waist
no/little train
chiffon or similar fabric
no beading, sparkle or lace
full-length
under $500 if possible

I have tried the following national stores with no luck (plus a few local boutiques):

David's Bridal
Ann Taylor
J. Crew
Aria
Nordstrom
Nicole Miller

Does anyone else have any other ideas? I will not buy a dress without trying it on first, so anything purchased online has to be returnable.

Long or short dress? Here's one from The Pink Palm Lilly Pulitzer store in Tampa. It's not chiffon, but Battenburg lace.

Have you tried looking at bridesmaid dresses that come in ivory? This sounds exactly like what you describe and comes in both ivory and white -
