My Last Venue Question PINKY PROMISE!!!!! LOL

So I'm interested in having our wedding/Reception at Kovens By The Bay (FIU) and after going over their pricing and costs I think I can definitely afford to do what I want there with no problem HOWEVER, I see they want to charge like an extra 3,000 just to rent the location on top of whatever I'm gonna pay for food and drinks....My question is do you think I could negotiate that 3,000 with them to perhaps lower it or take it away all together???? My thing is I don't know how many places are willing to let a potential client leave their facility without trying to work something out especially since I'm may be giving them about 7 grand....What are your inputs on this I'm in need if assistance please!!!!

    oooooo a good spot. Its harder to negotiate there because its a university. but it doesnt hurt to try.

    I would ask about any deals they have and if they rent lower prices to faculty or students. If so let me know , we can find a student honey

    Girl find a student or an alumni to rent the venue for you! I am getting married at a university and during the initial meeting the coordinator asked if I was an alum I told her no and she still gave me the alumni prices! Way cheaper! Talk to them and see though its worth a shot!

    Ok so i called them back as if i was a new person inquiring about the pricing and costs package for a wedding and reception there and that it was for my sister who is an alumni so she took down my info and said someone will be in touch...FINGERS CROSSED hopefully the price changes drastically LOL (also my bestie which happens to be my MOH is the alumni, it may just work out) ^_^ EXCITED
