So my dress doesn't fit. Its at the alterationists and I'm still worried and will be until it fits. Its ALL I can think about...what if what she's doing still doesn't make it fit? Its like our only option! The dress is already corset all the way to the small of my back. Then it had a 3 or 4 inch zipper. We took out the zipper and are going to extend the corset down..I'm just not sure that it will FIX the problem. Like at first I was confident that it would work...I mean it has to right because there's nothing else we could try! And the longer I wait the harder it is for me not to think about it not fitting with like 4 weeks to go! My only option will be to buy a new dress! After I've paid ALL THIS MONEY on my dream dress! I do not have this said money to buy a new one either but I have to have something to wear!

I would say don't worry, but I'm worried about my dress also! I didn't even have my fitting yet. My dress firt when I bought it and I just needed something added to the halter strap (the beading was rubbing the back of my neck) and I need a bustle. BUT, I gained 10lbs. since I bought it in April.

They'll make it work for us, I know...that's what they're for, right?! Ugh, until then, I'll be right there worrying with you!!!

I feel your pain. It took my friend 10 minutes to zip my dress yesterday for my fitting. Needless to say, I am low carbing it for the next 3 weeks.

I think most of us are worriers, it's why we're here haha. Alterations people are amazing, so try not to let it consume you right now.

Have you considered trying a wrap? I know most salons have them and now this "it works" company has blown up, there might be a rep in your area. It's not a miracle, but most people do lose some inches when they do it. Even if it's temporary, it might help with the dress.

Whatever you do, promise us you will not go on any crazy harmful diets between now and then!

I agree with pp, good advice. Seamstresses can work wonders. Take a deep breath and trust that they will do good work.

I feel your pain. I am in the same boat. I picked up my dress last week and didn't fit. ;( It was three inches to small. I spoke to the sales person and she said not to worry. I talked to my seamstress and she said don't worry about it. We will manage.

I am tring not to think about it. I guess i should diet a bit just incase. Keep us posted. I think you will be fine. I see the seamstress next week.

I just had a cookie. I guess i'm not really dieting. ;(
