Weekend Recap

Good morning!  As ever, this will be a post and run because I can't Knot at work.

So the Bash was a blast and this is how my look came together...

We only made it to our friend's fundraiser for about an hour because my feet were dying from the heels.

Then, I had a freak out that evening because I realized I forgot to email myself the name and directions to the gift fair I was supposed to work the next day for my job.  45 minutes of google searching later and I found it.  Waking up early Sunday was not my favorite part of the day, but I found a few fun gifts at the fair and got paaaaaiiiiid.

I thought Skyfall was on par with the rest of the new Bond movies and that Javier Bardem made a sufficiently creepy and awesome villain.

How were your weekends?  I'll be back on later tonight when you all abandon the board to have lives.  ;)

You looked great!! I'm sorry to hear your feet were hurting.

Friday was fairly quite. Cleaned a bit with the FI, and just relaxed.

Saturday I worked for a few hours, then went home, did more cleaning, then went to Kay's to deal with a few things, and then went and did dinner with my stepdad and sister. I made BBQ chicken, it was nom. Then we played Catan and Sequence. The boys beat the girls in sequence - all three games. Then I won Catan, then D (sister) won. It is amazing to see how far she has progressed in learning all the little nuances of the game - she is so stinkin' smart. Then FI & I told D we were moving to FL. She was a little disapointed, but she was excited that she'd be able to Skype, visit us whenever, and go to Disney. She is a resillient little bugger.

Sunday was a little more relaxed. Groceries, some cleaning, football (F.U. Eagles... Effing cowgirls... Effing Andy Reid) I was glad to see Nick Foles do well, but the team overall is disappointing. Our defensive line is BA, but the offense?? Well, they suck. So I did a lot of yelling and cursing during that game.

FI is trying to go gluten free - he is convinced he has "gluten intolerance" as he puts it, but he won't go get tested or anything. Effing stubborn ahole.... And guess who forgot about it when they went grocery shopping. Yep, this chick. *headdesk* Soooo Most of my meals for this week weren't affected, but snacks and stuff like that were. I'm making a lot of jucies/smoothies with my Vitamix - so that is helping a little bit. We shall see how this goes.

So that's the weekend recap - and here's the plan for this week!

I had every intention of telling BossMan I am leaving in December, but his wife's grandfather passed on Saturday morning, the visitation is today, and funeral is tomorrow - so I will be doing that on Wednesday. I have huge knots in my stomach already. I know this is the best thing for me though, so I'm kind of looking forward to it at the same time.

Class/work for the rest of the week - then Saturday is D's last basketball game of the season, then my boss' daughter's birthday party, then I get to hang out with the lovely ms Bri!!!!! Then Sunday I'm seeing a friend from lansing that is coming in to hang out since we couldn't get together for her birthday this past friday.

So all-in-all, it's going to be a busy week, but this weekend should be a real blast! :)
  • Gorgeous dress! Your hair also looks great. I hate when heels do that. I have a pair that always hurts my feet and then a few pairs that never do. Of course the ones that do are really cute, and I wish I could wear more often.

The weekend was good, always goes by way too fast as usual.. On Sunday I watched the Seahawks game with my BF and sister and then came home, did some laundry and read some of my book for my paper and attempted to start it. I'm just not sure where to begin. Luckily the portion that's due is just a "peer" review the final part isn't due until December 4th.

Today I am going to watch the Steelers and Chiefs game at Buffalo Wild Wings with my Mom, sister, and BF. I am exhausted today from not sleeping last night at all. I find I get the worst anxiety on Sunday nights sometimes. I'm usually just thinking about all the stuff that's going on at work that week or school.

Irish - I watched a bit of the Eagles game, I was hoping they would put the Cowgirls in their place.

RWS - I love the way your look came together!

My weekend was pretty laid back. BF and I went to see Skyfall which was AMAZING! I love the Bond movies and this one did not disappoint at all.

No proposal this weekend but BF did tell me he knows exactly when he is proposing so SQUEE!

I have work and class this week but then I have a break for Thanksgiving which is really needed! I can't wait for this semester to be over!

ETA: I'm trying to start getting in the habit of working out this week. I woke up this morning and did 30 minutes of a Jillian Michaels video and I'm planning to go to the gym after work to do about 20 minutes of intervals and weights. I need to get more intense about my weight loss.

OMFG - ME TOO!!! I'm so done with school right now!

    You can do it!! :)
  • RWS- you look so cute!
My weekend wasn't too exciting.  I was at the theater Friday night and Saturday.  Saturday ran some errands.  On Sunday we celebrated my dad's birthday.  It was a fun weekend and not too stressful.  I got to sleep in which was nice. :-)

Although I woke up with this morning with the worst back ache from how I slept last night.  Luckily it's going away but the pain this morning was not fun.

Haha...don't worry I'm keeping away from the crazy train :)

  • RWS- You look beautiful!!  That dress is fabulous!!!

    Beth- SQUEEEEE!!!

My weekend was good.  Saturday we had some friends come over for dinner and we played cards (hand and foot!!).  It was a great time.  Sunday we went to visit our parents and that was good but exhausting.  Today I am trying to cram as much homework in as possible before 130 when our next round of friends shows up.  I am going to be up super late tonight doing homework.  :(

  • RWS- I love your simple earrings and necklace!  So pretty!

My weekend was pretty lame.  Went out to dinner with a friend on Friday and was sick on Saturday so I stayed in bed all day. Yesterday I had to work for most of the day, so that sucked.

On the bright side, BF come to Texas on Wednesday!  FINALLY.  He'll be moving about an hour away, so for the first time since high school we'll be living in the same state.  Yay!
  • This weekend I was super domestic.  I did a ton of laundry, seriously 6 loads of it, dishes and vacuumed.  I baked muffins and two different types of cookies.  I even made royal icing for the first time, and it was a complete success!  I am super excited to for my next cookie decorating project.  Sunday I went for a 5 mile run.  The weather was gorgeous.

  • Pretty girl!

As Heather's weekend, I too had a very domestic weekend. Lots of laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, cooking, etc. Friday H and I had prayer night duty at church, and then date night. We went out to dinner at Crave. On Saturday H and I went to a concert which was tons of fun. Yesterday H had his brother over and they watched football all day. I made the skinny taste apple cobblers (THEY ARE SOOO YUMMY!! MAKE THEM!) on Sunday too. We also went for an ice cream run together. Overall, a fun weekend with my hubby.

  • Thanks gals!

Irish, I am happy for you that you get to move back to FL!  Good luck talking things over with your boss.  I know you'll do fine and you will feel much better afterwards.

    Beth, Eeeeeee!  How exciting!  :)

Ray, I miss card game nights with friends.  We don't have too many rights right now who are into games.  FI and I love Rummy Royal, and we both wish we could play it more often, but you need at least 4 players (5 is better).

alleycat, glad to hear you weren't sick too long and congrats on the SO moving back!

heather, while I don't know you well, from your posts, you sound like a Martha Stewart -- in the master of all things culinary and domestic way, not in the embezzling liar way.  ;)

hi polkadot!  It's been a while!  How is married life treating you?

  • My weekend was very different from what I thought it was going to be.  I was going to clean the house and then be lazy.  I ended up picking up the BF from my parents' place (it's where he stays for most of the week while he works) so we could pick his car up from a mechanic shop here.  So I spent Saturday with my parents (and got to eat my mother's delicious tortilla soup) and then drove back with him.

On Sunday my aunt came up to visit us.  We went and had lunch at an Italian restaurant that we've been craving so badly.  She and I went shopping at Target for some necessities for my place.  The BF took me to a movie at a new theater and outdoor mall.  We saw Skyfall (which is AMAZING) and then came home.  He then proceeded to go to bed because he apparently has a cold.

So my weekend was busy, yet not productive at all lol. I worked today and work tomorrow, and then I'm free to clean and sleep on Wednesday and Thursday.
