When are you getting your first fitting done or have you already done it?
My wedding is the 28th. Not sure exactly when to make the appt for the first fitting.

My wedding is 10/6 and my first fitting is 7/21. It was actually scheduled for the 28th, but I had to move it due to my travel schedule. Since I'm asking for a fair amount of alterations I chose to err on the safe side and push it up a week as opposed to back.

My wedding is 10/19. My dress isn't in yet (end of this month is quoted date), and they won't let me schedule my fitting until the dress is in, which I'm not happy about. I'll probably end up going in first or second weekend of August.

Mine is on Sept. 12th - 6 weeks before the wedding. The place I am going to said they don't do fittings any earlier than 6 weeks.

My wedding is October 20th and I have an appointment on the 28th to get a quote for alterations and to schedule the actual first fitting. She said to start the fittings about a month before the wedding but I feel uncomfortable leaving it that late. I'd like to start around 2 months out ideally. It's a corset back so I'm not overly worried if I end up gaining a pould or two.

My dress isnt in yet, they assure me it will be in to do alterations before September 19 (Oct 6 wedding). I thought maybe I should panic, but not yet!

My dress isn't in yet either, for my 10.7 wedding. I'm hoping my first alterations appt will be near the two month mark. I would call and ask your seamstress when she recommends your first fitting.

I just had my 1st fitting this week and mywedding is Oct. 6th. She wanted to get me in b/c she has 6 other weddings to do alterations for so she's one busy lady! I wont pick up my dress though until Sept. 6th which is a month before wedding.

I just tried on my dress today and scheduled my first fitting for August 14, My wedding is October 7. They only do fittings on Tuesday and they will hold my dress until the day before the wedding.

After seeing everybody talk about it on here, I called the other day about mine. They said they traditionally do fittings around a month before the wedding, so mine is August 25th for an October 13th wedding. We chose an earlier date because I have to travel two hours to get there. I won't need the dress taken in because it's a corset back, but it has to be hemmed a bit and needs a bustle.

I am getting married on the 20th and my first fitting is scheduled for 8/19. Not doing any alterations since my dress fit like a glove though.

I called this week and spoke with my consultant and she recommened I wait til the beginning of Sept (Oct 5th wedding) but to speak directly with there seamstress and make sure. We ordered the dress a size smaller then I was and it is now too big (in between sizes so they won't exchange for smaller). Hoping to wait as long as possibly bc of my weight loss.

We're getting married 10/13, but we're leaving for Vegas on 10/11, so my first fitting was scheduled for August 4th. They recommended doing it a tiny bit early so it will for sure be ready before I step on that plane.

Omg that is a huge loss - congrats! What an accomplishment! Do you mind sharing with us what you're doing that working?? Sounds like you def. should wait as long as possible for alterations if you're still planning on lossing. Good for you girl!!
