  I just Googled it, and I don't think they look like an E. I can see where you might think they somewhat resemble a lower-case e, but honestly, people will know it's a C b/c they will know what the last name is, and their eyes will perceive it as a C. I think you're over thinking this. And Ditto CMG about the invitations.

  I don't think there is anything wrong with using your new initials on your invites.  It's your wedding, and your decision.

  OP, it is okay to use a married monogram on post-ceremony items, but a married monogram has no place on the invitations. Try having a duogram made that coordinates with your married monogram.

  
  

  Also, I agree with the poster that said your guests will see the C as a C.
