Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia

Thinking of a late October 2012 honeymoon to one of the Sandals resorts in St. Lucia. I'm wondering who has been, which resort you stayed at, for how long, and lastly...how much did the trip cost you? I can't look at prices for next October yet since it's so far in advance, but for budgeting purposes I'd love to know! :)

I also looked into St. Lucia. My issue with going there was the airfare sucked. Usually two layovers and most of the flights with the layovers take 12 hours. I just didn't want to travel that long.

You can also check out places like allinclusiveoutlet.com or cheapcaribbean.com.  It'll give you AIs in St. Lucia that aren't Sandals.  From what I've heard about Sandals - they are all over priced although I have no experience with them.

    Good luck :)

Friends of mine just got back from Sandals at SL. They loved it! They stayed at the Grand St. Lucian. We are also looking at prices for Sandals versus a Cruise and I like that they include alcohol at Sandals.

We're staying at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian for our honeymoon this October.  I was a little worried because the reviews said that this resort is VERY crowded and is more of a party resort.  BUT....there are three Sandals resorts in St. Lucia, and you can take a shuttle and use any of them while you are a guest at one.  So...if we want a quite, relaxed day at the pool, we can venture over to Sandals Halcyon.  I also booked our room on the ocean side, which I heard is quieter than the rooms on the pool side of the resort.

I booked our flights using my airline miles through Delta.  We leave at 6:30am and get there at 2:15pm, with just one connection.  There is, however, a 2 hour drive to the resort from the airport.  We paid for a private transfer, so it shouldn't be so bad.

Edited to add:  We paid about $3700 for Monday through Sunday for a Penthouse Oceanfront Concierge room.  I paid for the flights with my airline miles.
