TGIF/Weekend Plans?

Morning everyone!  What's on for the weekend?

I'm moving to a bigger room, but in the same building, and I have about 8 days to do it so I'm starting tonight (exciting, I know).  Hopefully I'll get to the beach on Sunday, but that will depend on how quickly I move stuff.

Have a good weekend everyone

Happy Friday!!! We have a "couples baby shower" to go to.  Should be a lot of fun.  It is great when the whole gang gets together.  Other than that...just some errands that need to be done.
Looking forward to the nice weather we are supposed to have too!  Tomorrow morning, we want to take the pups out for a long walk/run. Lola can run pretty far, but Lacie is 12...she walks.  We take turns running.  One of us will hang back with Lacie, or sometimes both dogs and walk, while the other runs out for about 10 mins, turns around and runs back.  Then we switch out.  We do that for about 4 miles or so.

    Have a great weekend everyone!!

    Hi Everyone! TGIF!

Wedding related stuff - I have been working on some DIY projects and also getting the whole Flip Flop bin in order - I picked up a large steel tub last night to put them in and I want to work on labels for the sizes. I want to finish the personalized hangers I made for bridesmaids too - I just need FI to help with the drill. Any other ideas for DIY people have done? I'm really enjoying working on the smaller details right now.

I think I am going to put off dress shopping for a while. Do you  guys think November is too late to start trying on? I'm just still really sad a lot of the time after losing my mom and I just don't feel like doing anything special. I was thinking  November is a slow month and maybe that would be something to look forward to.

Going out with a large group of girls tonight for girls night  - hoping it will be fun! Then probably just taking it easy the rest of the weekend. Have a good Friday everyone!!!

MD - Gl with the move!

Janice - Have fun at the shower!

    Janice - enjoy the shower
Lindsay - Congrats on the DIY accomplishments!  I have a birdcage I need to put together as a card box, but I'm going to do it after I move.
As for your dress, shopping in November gives you ~4 months to come in and 2 months for alterations, so it's cutting it close but could be fine depending on the dress maker/seamstress.  I might start earlier (sept/oct) just to avoid the stress of the dress coming in late, but if you won't be able to enjoy shopping earlier, that's important too.  Maybe start looking in Sept casually and see how you feel?

Thank goodness its Friday!  Its my birthday weekend, so tonight I'm going to Andys in the new Fairmont building (anybody been?) for dinner and then I'm headed to the Pirates game.  I hope they win!

Tomorrow, FI has booked a spa package for me.  I've never gotten a massage or been to a spa, so I'm super excited.  Then we're going to a wedding for one of his friends.  The church isn't air conditioned and its supposed to be hot on Saturday!

Sunday I'm going to my parents house and we're working on invites.  I'm starting to get really nervous about getting them out in time, but I sent out save the dates and its not 8 weeks to the wedding till the end of July, so it will all work out.

J - that's such a cute way to take your dogs on a walk and still get in the exercise for you and FI.  You're so hardcore.
M - Good luck moving!  I'm jealous you're close to a beach.  That is my biggest complaint about Pittsburgh.
L - have fun with girl's night!  You definitely don't have to go dress shopping anytime soon.  I might start a little sooner than November, logistically thinking, though.  If it takes you a while to find a dress you might run out of time or your dress options might be slightly limited.  I might start in September or October, but there is definitely no rush for you right now.  And you can wait till November, you might just have to put a rush on a dress.  Just something to think about.  But I would go at your speed and based off of how you feel.

Yay it's Friday and that means my vacation has officially started. Today after FI gets off work we are heading to my Aunts in VA. Tomorrow I'm going to the Def Leppard concert down there then we are waking up at 1AM and heading to Myrtle Beach! Can't wait to have my sand in my toes! haven't been to the beach in 7 years!

Lindsay- I would def try and go earlier if at all possible. I went 11 months before our wedding date and she told me I was pushing it.. But do it when your comfortable and on your own terms! GL!

MRads- Before you get a massage make sure you drink a lot of water. I've heard that if you don't you'll get pretty sore. I've only had one and chugged water all day because I didn't want to get sore! have fun and enjoy the relaxation!

MD- Good Luck on the move!

Lindsay - When I ordered my dress (6 months out), I was told I was pushing it a bit.  But with that being said, my dress came in 2 months before we expected.  It all depends on the dress, shop, designer, etc.  Do you have any idea of what you are looking for?  Either way, you will know when YOU are ready.  And it will all work out in the end.  Let me know if you ever want to just window shop or something....we can talk puppies!  lol
MRADS- Enjoy the spa!!!  I love spa days!!!  Go bucs!
    HEB - Enjoy your vacation.

Happy Friday, everyone! It's my first engaged weekend and my new fiance and I are having both of our families over to our house for a cookout on Sunday. It's actually the first time they'll be meeting - exciting!  We know they will get along great, and I love cooking and entertaining, so it's much more fun than stressful.

My little sister (15 going on 25) is beyond excited about our wedding and already has a million ideas. I can't wait to share the excitement with her.

Is anyone into Pinterest? I've been using it for a few months for decorating and recipe ideas, but I'm thinking it's going to be super-useful for wedding planning, too!
