So FI and I have decided we might to E-pics afterall. We need some clothing options though, because I'm terrible at picking out clothes for pictures.
We *might* do them at the beach when we go in 2 weeks (this is highly probable) since our photographers will also be there that weekend shooting a wedding in LA.
Guidelines:
-I hate my arms, so I would love some kind of light sweater
-I love dresses, so preferably a dress for me
-FI gets hot easily, so he would probably wear some kind of khaki shorts/polo or khaki shorts/button up combo.
Please help! (outfit ideas/PIPs for me AND FI would be appeciated)
Re: e-pic outfits
[QUOTE]Khaki/jeans and white shirts are always cute for beach pics. Definitely keep to solid colors and use neutral colors. Ive also seen cute beach pics with jeans and navy shirts.

This exactly...here are a couple pics of FI & I. We did this shoot to help out an old friend's photography business two years ago. (and us both at least 20lbs lighter each)

I agree with PPs - keep it to solid colors, no patterns, and opt for well-fitting things, rather than "flowy" things. I love the look of flowy things but they don't photograph well.
I think rolled up jeans with a cute long sleeved t-shirt could also work on the beach - with some bright colored accessories, maybe? And some sunglasses. For fiance, I like the idea of the khakis on the beach.
As for cardigans, I like cropped or shrug cardigans best for dresses. It doesn't cut off the dress line/ silhouette if that makes sense. Meagan's suggestion would be cute. Not sure if this is your style but I really like a cute lace sleeve look (in a diff color) for spring pictures
I don't think it looks bad at all.
[QUOTE]I think you have some good suggestions but I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say you don't have to do solid colors if you don't want to<strong>. FI wore a patterned button down for our epics and I think they turned out really well. Maybe I'm just biased though. I don't think it looks bad at all.

I agree! Here are a few of our wardrobe changes.

(sorry, this is the only one I had on my computer at work).
I agree with the others about a slim fit solid cardigan - I also love fitted little blazers too. Blazers are a little more my style so I would probably go that route if I needed to cover up.
But, for the record, our e-pics were in December in Indiana and it was about 20 degrees when we did our pics...so even if it is cold for a few minutes, you will probably end up OK
