tying decor together

Hi all!! I am in serious need of help with my decorating ideas!  My reception is going to be at 108 budleigh and my colors are ivory, lite pink, gold, lite yellow, maybe a little mint green( I am going for  a vintagy/ shabby chic wedding) lite colors witha little bling and possibly some burlap somewhere..
Okay so..... for my save the dates i am making little banners with yellow and white bakers twine and each letter will be stamped on pink and white polka dot paper with black ink. now my question is if brown paper bag like material envelopes go with the theme and colors or not...

also if you all have any other ideas for my decor or colors feel free to let me know, i am soo not creative!!!

    I like the idea of the brown paper with the colors.  It is a neutral and will make the colors look better without being too much.  And it ties in with the whole "shabby" idea.  You can use brown butcher paper.

    What about like a navy or dark purple instead of the black ink?  In my mind that's a little less harsh.  Otherwise, I think it sounds adorable and I love the craft paper envelope idea!

    Or, how about brown or rust ink?  We ended up doing a lot of brown ink and it really softened things up.  As an example, this is what we did with our program fans and invites.

    ooooo I like the idea of the brown ink instead, the black might be a little much like you guys said!  I found brown envelopes that are made from recycled bags so I think those will be perfect..

    Maria- how would I do them with the butcher paper? or is that something I can order somewhere for a material for an envelope? I don't want to spend too much money just cause its the save the dates.. Invitations are a whole other story!!  Did you make yours or order them and if so from where?! I really like them

    You can get butcher paper is brown and you can get it from an art store.  It's pretty inexpensive.  I remember school teachers using it for kids.  You can use an envelope template and make envelopes, or some sort of a wrapper.  The recycled bag envelopes sound like what I was thinking of.  I made my own invites.
