Usually the day after Thanksgiving, but I'm having a problem finding space for it this year. I have a 3 ft baby pink pre-lit tree, with green ornaments.
FI's 7ft real looking tree is in storage. I'm sure my colors will get vetoed next year and we'll start from scratch.

We will be putting up the tree in the next week! I can't wait! I really don't have a theme/color. It's a 9ft with traditonal colors, lots of pretty glass/sparkly ornaments, tons of white lights, angel on top, burgundy ribbon and tree skirt.
We've been living together for the last few years, so we usually have an early dinner, take a nap, and then put up the tree! It's fairly traditional with red, blue, and gold!
I usually put the tree up day after thanksgiving. This year however, everything is in storage and we just do not have the room so no tree. Our colors are green tree with red and yellow lights with very simple and minimal white ornaments. Cant wait to put my new oranments on next year.
I help my parents put theirs up the day after. Since I wasn't able to do that since I worked 10am-11pm, I will help my mom put theirs up this week. It's multicolored with all different ornaments!
I put mine up the day before Turkey Day. Lights completed on Turkey Day, and now I'll decorate it! I'm being a procristinator lately
I put mine up yesterday! Had to kinda squeeze it in as we got a new sectional sofa this year which limited our options on where to put it. No color theme... as beautiful as I think themed trees are, I have a lot of sentimental ornaments that don't go with anytheme... but its mostly red, green and silver.
My nephew helped me put up my tree on Friday, but some of my lights are not working so it only has some half working multi colored lights and my tree topper on it. I didn't want to put up any ornaments in case I have to take the lights off and start over. It looks a little sad.
We usually put it up the day after Thanksgiving- BUT this year I didn't put it up until today. It's a 7ft pre-lit clear lights. With Red, White, and Silver ornaments!
Last year we had a beautiful 8ft flocked tree but Bill said no flocking this year. :-(
We just got our 6ft tree delivered yesterday, it's quite roundish. We'll decorate later this week with our new red lights. Most of our ornaments are red with some green and some silver.
Mine isn't up yet - I am trying really hard to get all our wedding presents and decorations put away before I drag out the tree, but hopefully I get it taken care of this week! It's a huge tree - about 9 feet tall, and really fat. We do clear lights, and the past couple years it's been silver and gold, with lots of glittery ornaments I love Christmas!!!
Also, I helped put my parents' tree up last night and today - theirs has no theme. There are lots of very old ornaments, and some of them look kind of sad, but I love them. There are also lots of handmade ones from when we were kids.
Little side story for ya - one more reason for me to love Christmas this year. In 1938, my grandparents got married - they were 16. Grandpa's mom, who we called Mother Eva, gave them some beautiful glass ornaments that are multicolored and have glitter on them, to decorate their first Christmas tree. In 1975, my parents got married, and my grandparents gave them that set of ornaments for their first Christmas. This is my first Christmas with my new husband, so today my mom gave me one of the ornaments. For each kid, she bought a glass dome with a little wooden base, and a little hanger-thingy, and then had each of the years engraved with 1938, 1975, and the year of each of our first Christmas. I can't wait to get it out of the box and put it somewhere!!!
I wanted to put up the tree on Friday, but I didn't go FI's house that day. We haven't had time to put it up this weekend. We are thinking maybe on Tuesday. We will see what happens.
Our tree isn't up yet. DH wants a new tree. But, of course they are all marked up right now. I think he's just going to have to wait until after Christmas and we can get a new one for next year. So, probably put the smaller tree up this weekend. We'll see. I'm still trying to convince him we need an all penguin tree.
We put ours up the day after Thanksgiving. I love love love Christmas and all the events leading up to it but I absolutely despise fixing each and every one of those darn branches. It took me 2 1/2 hours just to get the tree in place and lights on. We use clear lights, but tons of them, and this year we have gold, green and brownish red ornanments. We also use the ones we collect throughout the years.

Our colors are green, red and white, with white lights. We debated a fake tree this year, but went with the real one again.

That is a really sweet story.
