I just saw this and I'm sitting here all teary-eyed. I'm such a freaking sap. I'm never ever ever going to be able to hold it together. I'm going to have to be on imodium and prozac!!

Oh man!! My dad is such a hard guy but after my mom passed, he really softened up and gets awfully weepy! He didn't cry at my brothers wedding but I have a feeling he will at mine lol. As for me, I'll be sobbing. Currently scheduled to be on my friendly friend that day which I am going to have to throw off because I will lose it. No question.

Me either! My dad and I have always been really close and he is STOKED to be walking one of his girls (and probably the only one!!) down the aisle. I'm pretty strong emotionally so I hope I can hold off on the tears...but I seriously doubt it!

I will def be a mess. My dad and I have always had a very...interesting relationship. I am always weepy when I head those daddy-daughter songs or it's referenced in a movie someway... Yeah, I know I'm not going to be able to hold it together.

Teary eyed here too! I know my dad will cry and will make me cry and I really want my photographer to capture that moment. Im really close to my dad.

Yeah... I don't think I will get one of those moments at my wedding. My mom probably won't even cry since I have only seen her cry once and that is when she told me her stepdad passed away and that was 18 years ago... never seen her cry since then! My dad and I have never really been close, although we do get along and have gotten along a lot better over the past few years. We just aren't close. So this is something I am having a hard time with. I want the traditonal father/daughter dance, but I think it will be awkward! I think I may just pick a song from a band he likes and maybe that will make it more fun! lol When my sister got married, it was under different circumstances (more of a pregnant bride/courthouse/nice dinner reception kinda thing) but there was literally a handshake between the groom and my dad and my sister got a congratulations (shoulder pat?) not even a hug... soooo yeah, it's going to be an awkward day... especially since my FI's family are definitely huggers and way more affectionate.

I'm sorry sooon2beMrs914. Some of us can relate. I lost my mom in 2004 and Elliemonster lost hers too. We will have to support one another because only those of us that have lost a parent undertand that feeling.

UGH!!! I have cried ALL day from wedding stuff. I am such a sap! I am currently trying to figure out how to bedazzle my dad's oxygen tank. As he has to have one at all times. Or how to have our first dance together.
