Reception venue ideas

Hi everyone,
I am new to TX but am planning my wedding here.  I am looking for something in or near Austin, preferably with outdoor space for the reception and near some kind of water (river, lake, etc).  I have been searching and searching online and can't find exactly what I am looking for without outrageous prices.

    I'll just throw out a few outdoor/partially outoor venues I came across in my search...

    Nature's Point on Lake Travis (what we chose)
    Vintage Villas (on Lake Travis)
    Barr Mansion
    Museum of Art at Laguna Gloria (on Lake Austin)
    Lady Bird Johnson wildflower center
    Shoreline Grill (Town Lake)
    Vista at Seward Hill
    Hamilton 12
    Kindred Oaks

    There are many others in and around town...just look at the Vendors section on this website.  Good luck!

    Laguna Gloria is very nice. The Oasis does weddings and I love the view that they have. We fell in love and ended up booking Kindred Oaks.

    I second Laguna Gloria or the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.  They are both beautiful and very Texas Hillcountry.

    We're doing Avery Ranch Golf Club, They are on Lake Avery in North Austin.

    We are getting married at Vista on Seward Hill, its not on a Lake, but there are a lot of ponds on the site.  We are out of town and visited 9 different venues in Austin when we went to visit and decided that the Vista fit our style and the price suited us.  Good luck!
