Need Help with Finding DJ,flowers, Photographer & Cake In Hampton Roads. I live in Newport News and need Help.

    I am having my wedding at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton. Here are my vendors.

    DJ: Afforable DJs. My fiance went to high school with the people who own this company and I have been to a wedding they DJed and thought it was great. They have very afforable prices.

    Flowers: Flowers by Jeff (off Jefferson Avenue behind Rec Warehouse). By far the cheapest we found and they are so very helpful. You can make changes up to the day before the wedding and they are great on suggestions if you really don't know what you want.

    Photographer: We found Prints Charming Photography online (photova.com) and met with her and loved her! You can view some of her photos online; we felt that the people looked relaxed and happy, not fake smiley and posed.

    Cakes: Creations from the Heart (cakesbyalice.net). We've had 2 of her cakes at other weddings and loved them! Especically her key lime cake with key lime filling! Yum. She will design your cake with you and can make anything you can dream up. Along with the key lime, we are having kaluha caramel chocolate cake with kaluha caramel chocolate filling. With a groom's cake (carrot cake, cream cheese icing) and wedding cake to serve 150, we paid $450. Great deal!

    check out the package offered at Marina Shores Yacht Club in Va Beach. While it does include the venue, I understand that would be quite a distance but their vendors are awesome & all their links are on the main site. yachtclubweddings.com

    My vendors for my 2008 wedding was Becky's Buckroe Florist and

    go to www.just4uweddingservices.com I hired them as my photographer and deejay-prices we're affordable and they were truly professionals.
    They also helped me with my cake...I had a beautiful, 3 tiered cake, 3 flavors, etc., and they gave me a referral.

    I found an excellent cake place that I should have remembered from my childhood. We're going to use it. They charge like 3 dollars a slice for layered cakes and their sheet cakes feed 60 and are 50 bucks for the best flavor. Bennet's Corner Bakery in Chesapeake:)

    I second April Renee Photography.   She is located in Williamsburg, however I dont believe she charges a travel fee for VA Beach.  She is currently offering $200.00 off any package, and she also includes an engagment portrait session in all of her packages, even though its not listed.  Check her out at AprilRenee.com.  Her FB page has tons more pics than her website.     I checked out several photographers and she was the absolute best - work and personality wise.
