NICE DINNER LOCATION IN LEU OF A RECEPTION!!!

Ok, so the plan:

Myself, my fiance, and my parents, his mom, and POSSIBLY a few (3 or 4) personal friends

We are staying in Honolulu/Waikiki....
We want to get marriend on the beach in the North Shore....
We are going to have a huge reception once we get home (Columbus, Ohio) with all of our family and friends....so, no reception there in Hawaii....

BUT....

We would like to maybe do a nice dinner for our small group after....
We were thinking maybe Duke's???

Anyone have any other suggestions????

    I like Roy's:  http://www.roysrestaurant.com/index.asp

They offer pre-fix menus as well as private dining.  The restaurant is really beautiful.

For a really nice dinner and especially if you are foodies, there is Alan Wong's Pineapple Room and my brother in law went to the Morimoto restaurant recently and said it was excellent!  Price point will be higher than for Roy's.

I agree with Roy's. Although I like Duke's, it is more casual and can get very busy and loud. Roy's will be a better option if you are still in your dress and looking to have a nice dinner with your guests.

I'm planning my wedding and I have gotten so many people giving me advice about going to Roy's! A friend of the family said that they go there everytime they are on Oahu. They have a couple of locations.. They seem to be very accommodating too.

How nice of a dinner?  And how much do you want to spend?  My choice would be La Mer at Halekulani, but it is pricey...
