Honeymoon

Ok we have 3 young kids together and we are just gonna do a very short honeymoon around Northeast Ohio.  Our wedding is on a friday and we thought about leaving early saturday morning and coming back sunday night because my mom and her bf are gonna watch the kids.  Any suggestions on where to go?  I was thinking about Cedar Point but I am not sure.  In a few years we are gonna go to Hawaii when the kids are older and that way my mom can watch them and it will not be such a crazy time for her.  Thanks in advance.

We stayed at 5 Corners B&B in Amherst for our anniversary weekend. We had dinner at Chez Francois in Vermilion -- awesome for special occasion dining! Vermilion is super cute for walking around, too. Also, we had a couples massage at Kneaded Touch in Amherst. It was a great getaway and would make for a nice mini-moon not far from home.

You might also consider renting a cabin in the Hocking Hills for a long weekend. Most, if not all of them, have hot tubs and great access to some amazing hiking trails. Would be nice if you're nature lovers. Oh, and Etta's Lunchbox Cafe in Starr is a fun lunchtime stop. Their pizza was very good. I was surprised! Their entire 'decor' consists of antique lunchboxes.

The Inn at Brandywine is near the CVNP, if you'd rather a nature loving getaway a bit closer than the HH. Blue Canyon restaurant in Twinsburg would be a nice place for a lovely dinner out, and not far from Brandywine. Of course, Downtown 150 in Hudson is fantastic, too, maybe even better.

If you want a more urban getaway, you could always stay somewhere downtown Cleveland -- either a hotel or one of a handful of B&B's such as Glidden House or Baricelli Inn on the east side naer CWRU. There are also a couple B&B's in the Ohio City area west of the city.

The lodge at Geneva on the Lake is very nice. Right near Geneva on the Lake is a lot of winerie and Geneva State Park.

Another idea is heading to Marblehead, Kelly's Island or Put-in-Bay.
