Sooo, how was everyone's weekend??

- I got massive amts of bugbites at my friends wedding, and spent most of the weekend bathing myself in topical benadryl
- FI was here and we hung out, watched movies, and tried some new restaurants in the area
- Played trivia with some college friends last night, and we didnt do so badly

tell me about the fun things you did!

    Hi!

    Well I did a lot of awesome things this weekend since it's the weekend before my birthday!

    - Ate out at new restaurant (new for us) in Squirrel Hil on Friday. Very very yummy.
    - Spent a few hours at the waterpark on Saturday
    - Sushi and Hibachi (my favorite) on Saturday night
    - Shopping at the Grove City Outlets on Sunday
    - Found a dress for our e-pics at the outlets!

    Despite the fact that it was Father's day weekend (and my dad didn't bother to pick up the phone when I called twice yesterday) I still had an enjoyable weekend with my FI and I'm really glad I found a dress for our pictures this next weekend!

    Md- Try rubbing a banana peel on them! Seriously they work on bugbites. Don't know why... they just do :-) And I love trivia! I'm terrible at it, but it's so much fun.

    hi!

    Weekend was busy as I thought it would be!

    -Friday night had dinner at a friends house
    -Saturday was my cousins wedding which started at 2, so that was basically my whole day! though i did get some program stuff printed (yay!)
    -Sunday DF and I went to my parents house, and DF played golf with my dad and 2 brothers, while i washed my dads car!
    -Last night we picked our first dance song (finally!) and made our must play, do not play and would like to hear lists for the DJ!

    We are pretty much in full force wedding mode right now.. its getting stressful - but im DETERMINED not to let it show! i do not want to be bridezilla

    md - yuck about the bug bites! so nice that FI was around!
    sarilynn - YAY for finding a dress! where did you get it? what was the new restaurant you tried on friday?

    Good Morning Ladies!
    MD- My screen looks so weird with it all the "delete, edit" buttons gone. :)

    -I went to Pittsburgh this weekend
    -attended my BFF baby's 1st Birthday party
    -swam with my nephews in my sister's pool
    -went to my cousin's baptism
    -came back to DC and sat on the turnpike outside of Somerset for 3 hours. I left at 3:30 and got to DC at 10:30. Not fun.

    The only item I will not compromise on...my bouquet of all purple tulips wrapped in a swatch from my Mom's wedding dress.

    Good morning, ladies!  Today I am headed to the Pirates game, so I am just trying to make it through the work day...although I have a lot of comp time, and I might just leave at noon - its kind of just a blah day all around.

    My weekend I
    - picked out our wedding cake.  We're going with Paddy Cake bakery. I really don't care about the cake AT ALL, but it was decent and reasonably priced, so yay.
    - went to a wedding shower.  Its FI's friend from growing up, so it was nice, but since I was just representing him, I didn't know a ton of people
    - had a cookout at my parents house and then took FI's parents out to dinner.  I ate SOOO much!

    All in all, a good weekend! 
    JL - I HATE getting stuck on the turnpike.
    db- what did you pick for your first dance song?

    Good morning, everyone!!  Just checking my email, drinking my coffee and getting myself ready for the work day!  Also prepping a bit for an interview I have tomorrow afternoon!

    On Saturday, FI and I went shopping for some clothes for work and for our e-pics (which are on July 1!).  I bought a cute dress but of course I am still looking around to see if anything else catches my eye ;) 

    Yesterday, I called my dad to wish him a Happy Father's day, then FI and I went to Ikea and Marshalls (had a giftcard!) to buy some things for our new apartment!  We move in July 2!  Things are finally coming together!

    jl - 7 hours, eesh.  thats terrible.  I guess I'll get used to the buttons.  When I first saw them i was like... how did jl not go crazy.

    sari - pictures of the e-pic dress??  Or do we have to wait for the e-pics?  Also, I miss sandcastle so much.  And I am going to try this banana thing because it's be hard to sleep with all these bites.

    db - yay for picking a first dance song. It's ok to have a bridezilla moment or two, but I hope the last bits of planning go really smoothly!

    Mrads- congrats on picking the cake!

    Hi all, I'm newer here.  I hope to start posting here more often and get to know you all!

    Friday night - FI stayed in and watched "And The Band Played On".  Really good and really sad movie.

    I'm a SCUBA instructor and Saturday morning I taught a class in the pool (Dormont pool....brrrr!)  In the afternoon FI went to Indiana Co to see his parents and Father's Day and his dad's b-day.

    Sunday - FI and I stayed in and hund around the house all day.  I have a heard time on Father's Day every year since my dad passed away.  So FI did all the chores around the house and didn't let me lift a finger except to use the remote control.  He was really cute.

    Now it's Monday (ugh!) and the only thing to look forward to this week is the Jimmy Buffett concert tomorrow!Cool

    Good morning! 
    Friday - We went to our friend's house and she looked at what we need to do to make the sashes for the FG dresses.  I just have to get some fuseable interface to help stiffen up the fabric and she will be ready to rock.  I am paying her in food...lol.  I made a pasta dinner for us all that had whole wheat farfalle, italian sausage, tomatoes, fresh basil, fresh parmesan and some olive oil.  It was awesome!! 
    Saturday- We started the day with a run/walk with the pups.  We went about 4.75 miles.  It was a nice way to start the day.  Then we cleaned up the house (well, most of it, anyway..lol) and ended the evening by grilling some steaks.
    Sunday- We went to church and called DF's Dad.  More cleaning and some errands too. 
    Nothing too exciting, but it was nice just hanging with my 3 faves (DF & the 2 pups) all weekend.

    Oh, and I am down 6lbs since Memorial Day!  Woo-hoo!!!

    Sarah- What restaurant did you try? Did you decide on a location for your e-pics?  How is your leg?
    MD- Ouch!  I hate bug bites....I am a terminal scratcher!  Did not fare well when I had chicken pox..lol.
    DB- What is still on your "To-do" list?  Sounds like you are doing great!
    JL- Ugh...turnpike.  I hope we have better luck over the 4th.  We will be heading down towards DC...actually about an hour past...Locust Grove.
    MRads- Have fun at the game!
    Ginny- Where are you having your e-pics?


    Pittsburgh September Siggy - Our honeymoon will be at the Royal Suites Turquesas in P*nta Cana. Super excited!

    Melis - welcome!  I've always wanted to learn to Scuba dive. 

    If you want, you could write an intro post and tell us about yourself (when did you get engaged, how did you meet your FI, where's the wedding and what you have planned right now, etc).

    MDRads- Be sure to look at my review of Paddy Cake. The cake was delicious, but they were really late in delivering the cake, they didn't put the flowers on the cake (they were on the cake table waiting for the cake) and they wouldn't call my venue coordinator back. Just be cautious. The cake was yummy though.

    We picked "Can't help falling in love with you" - the Michael Buble version which we are going to try to keep from my mom because she is a super Michael Buble fan ;)

    On the to-do list we have:
    -Marriage license application (Today over lunch!)
    -finalize BM gifts
    -Programs
    -escort cards
    -finalize table assignments
    -cookies
    -maybe OOT bags - if theres time
    -RD decorations
    -hair trial (friday!)
    -meet with photographer and DJ
    -finalize cake design
    -finalize flowers
    -meet with church wedding coordinators
    and im sure im missing some things!

    We're probably going to do our e-pics on the North Shore somewhere.  We'd like to get some stadium shots, skyline shots, as well as some on the Clemente Bridge.. and we love love love the rowhomes on the Mexican War Streets so we definitely want to go there too!  We have a phone consult this Thursday to finalize everything!

    ginny - also consider the park by the war streets, Randy Land, and the artist houses on Sampsonia Way for some good epics Mexican War Street style.

    mdphd - did you try calamine lotion? did the trick for me in Honduras with dozens of no see'um bites. 

    Wedding plans have taken a backseat as school gears up again. So, I'm going to live vicariously through you guys in the meantime instead of turning to our wedding to-do list!

    Yay for all the excitment this weekend!
    Friday, I had dress reheasal for my club's ice show.  It went really well.
    Saturday was show day.  I was there at 9:30 am for set-up.  The show started at 2 pm, and went extremely well.  I know that if I can handle directing an ice show, my wedding will be a snap.
    Yesterday, I just relaxed aroung home, and washed my new car---then it rained.
    Tomorrow, I go back in for summer tutoring then I'm meeting my friend for gelato.
