rehearsal invites?

Are your rehearsal invites out yet? Anybody doing them  online? Is it proper etiquette to do those online? Any invite website for doing them online? Apparently, Im in question mode tonight. Just trying to get ideas lol

Re: rehearsal invites?

  • we're not doing invites.  its going to be word of mouth.
  • I'm thinking word of mouth for the most part. I may actually send out some to people who we don't see that often to make sure they have something to remind them. Otherwise we will just tell our family/wedding party.

  • We got invites from VP when they were running a special. We haven't sent them out yet we will probably do it mid to end of September for 10-6 rehearsal.

I think that if you wanted to do an evite it would be fine.

  • We're doing word of mouth.  There isn't a problem with doing an e-vite for your rehearsal.
  • My IL's are hosting and I believe they are planning to send out separate invites after I send out the wedding invitations.  I'm really ok with them doing whatever as far as invites go.  I really could care less whether they are printed, e-vite, email, word of mouth, etc.  As long as the word is out to the VIP's that should be there, I think that's all that matters.  I don't think it needs to be formal.

  • I got invites from VP as well, I probably wont sent them out until mid Sept, i've already sent out an FYI email to everyone in the bridal party just to let them know we would be having one as a heads up.
  • We got a great deal on Zazzle, so we did send them out. Today, as a matter of a fact. We were going to wait until September but I just wanted one more thing done.

  • Ours will be WOM. Were not inviting anyone but WP/SOs and VIPs like parents grandparents the preacher etc. All people who basically HAVE to be there. Were on a budget and a formal rehearsal dinner is NOT in the budget. Were going to just have a quick bite in the reception hall of the Church.

  • we ended up having to invite all the out of town people on top of the usual people for ours so I ended up putting them in with the regular wedding invites and then had both wedding and rehearsal dinner response on the same response card for those who are getting invited.  I had two different response card versions printed.  We just went with the same style as our regular invites since we were sending them all together and got a reasonable price on them.

  • we're doing WOM and facebook messages kinda thing. Since our rehearsal is going to be entirely informal we didnt see a point in doing invites sent out.

  • I'm making up postcard invites that I'll send out shortly after I send the invites. If you want to do e-vites, I reccomend Punchbowl. I did my save the dates through them and they were super cute!
  • I'm verbally asking, but we are only having our immediate families so doing it any other way seemed silly to me.
It doesn't have to be perfect to be everything I want!
