Eicher Arts Center, Ephrata

I saw a few posts on the Eicher Arts Center, and pictures.  I was just curious on what the final cost was for the use of the building and what it all included.  I have a low budget and I'm trying to stick to it or even a little under it in case something comes up that I didn't think of.  I have a lot of time to save extra money if I need it, our wedding date is May 13, 2011 it is a friday in hopes that will also help keep the cost down as well (yeah a friday the 13th...his lucky number).  Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me. I reserved the site for a day and a half, which gets me the keys at 12:00 the day before, until midnight the day of.  That includes I think 15 8 foot banquet tables, 100 chairs, plates and silverware (the only thing they dont have is glasses, because overtime they just broke i guess). The site has a full kitchen, which my caterer was just over the moon about.  That costs $750.

Also- He doesnt do discounts based on weekend/weekday/off season. He's just cheap all year round.

So you paid $750 for the building or your caterer?  I think my mom and I are going to be taking care of the food.  I'm not looking at doing a meal, I would rather do like finger foods and desserts.  I'm trying to stay away from alochol, some people in the family don't handle it to well and I don't want any problems.

I  paid $750 for the building, tables, chairs, and dinnerware.  All other costs are extra, including food.

Ok, thank you.  I think my FI and I will be checking them out.  From what pictures I saw on here it looks pretty.

Very likely that they have just changed their rates, depending on when you booked it. I see you're having a 2011 wedding... the rate you're comparing it to was in 2010. I got married there in 2009 and also paid a different amount than that. $1000 for all that is included is still a great deal!

My DH insisted on renting round tables and I believe we fit 96. If you use the banquet tables they supply, you can fit more (I think they claim 120). But there is also area outside where you can set up a tent for an outdoor reception if you had more than that.

anyone know how many people they can accomodate outside under a tent? we have about 200 people in our guest list..if it does hold that many I will definitely check it out, sounds like a beautiful and very affordable venue!
