Has anyone been to Sandals Whitehouse?

We are thinking of going to Sandals Whitehouse for our honeymoon.  Have any of you been there or know anyone that has been there?

I just read your previous posts on the other people that had posted about Sandals.  Where do you suggest?  We were told the Couples resorts were really nice however by the pictures I have seen on tripadvisor the rooms and grounds don't look near as nice.  We will not be going to Mexico but I am open to other places.  I also don't want it to take an entire day of travel to get there.

I haven't been yet, but we are booked for May.  Sandals isn't popular around here because they do tend to be more expensive than other resorts, but we got a good price (I watched it for awhile), and our friends who have been there raved about it.  We are satisifed even if it's the "overpriced" resort.  I agree - the pictures of Couples didn't look as nice, and we wanted a private beach without vendors.

We're going to Sandals Whitehouse for our August HM. I looked at Couples and agree that the rooms didn't seem that nice. We got what we think is a great deal through our TA but definitely watch their sales.

Whitehouse gets great reviews and the grounds are supposed to be gorgeous. FI and I wanted somewhere with nice beaches, that's more secluded and Whitehouse fit that completely. Good luck!

Sandals never makes the top spot for best All Inclusives.

Secrets, Couples, Etc to name a few that compare. If you had a specific location it would be a lot easier. There are several 'chain' resorts but many places have even better non-chain resorts but it depends on where you are going.

</div><div>My travel agent didn't push us towards Sandals at all he actually pushed Couples which as I said before didn't look as nice as Sandals Whitehouse.  And we are able to get a beachfront room at sandals for not much more than what it was at Couples.  The Secrets resorts that I looked at were actually more for the kind of room that we would want.  I also checked out Excellence resorts and Iberostar resorts as well as many more.  Thanks for your help though!    Where did you go on your honeymoon?</div>

We are most leaning toward Whitehouse as well. Over all, what I'm finding online nothing beats Sandals resorts in what we are looking for. Sandals might spend more on advertising (which is what everyone here complains about) but I haven't heard any negative thoughts on the resort itself. Also in our searches so far Sandals seems to have the most pictures and discriptions of what all is included where other places like Couples and Secrets seems vague, just in our opinion. The Sandals Whitehouse seems to be the best prices for what we are specifically looking for. Good luck with your search!
