Newbie to this Board but really excited

I am a new follower/ stalker to this board and I am really excited to announce I have decided to hold my ceremony outside in a very pretty gazebo. I am working on all sorts of ideas to create my perfect vision...Or close to. I am also a huge DIY bride with so many ideas. I am doing it not so much to save on cost but because I am from an exceptionally/ridiculously crafty family.   To give you a hint of what I am talking about - My father is a carpenter and will be crafting some beautiful wooden screens that will be closed as the wedding party approaches and opened for us to walk through... .I am a huge fan of dramatics.

So ladies - I have come to love and adore TK for so many nice people and great suggestions. I hope you all welcome me with open arms!

    Welcome!  This board is kind of slow sometimes, but it is definitely nice to share ideas with ladies that are also planning outdoor events. 

    I'm curious about your wooden screens that you plan to have made.  I hope that you share pictures when they are completed.

    I'm assuming you're a Wildwood bride, is that correct?  How will you hide from everyone behind your screen while people are arriving?  Or how will you get behind the screen without anyone seeing you?  Just curious.

    I know you're on the Toledo board too!  Keep coming by there also.  If I have your ceremony location correct, I just wanted to share that I also had our ceremony at one of the Metroparks (Pearson) and would be more than happy to offer what I know if you have questions.  Not many of our other Toledo knotties have planned/are planning an outdoor affair.  Good luck!

    Thanks Ladies!! I have to go take pictures of the site soon before I go on maternity leave. I am not getting married at Wildwood. I am planning my entire wedding at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. Its a relatively small and very nice kept location. They haev a beautiful gazebo and a building used a lot for weddings that was very reasonable and has a capacity of around 600 people. Location is perfect since there are 3 hotels within miles and it is right off of the Ohio Turnpike. My FMIL has offered to pay for the hall since it was so reasonable so I cannot refuse the overall appeal of the location.
