I had to post this here since I got a purple dress and I know you ladies would appreciate this the most! I am so exicted! I know that I am not eloping for over a year yet, but I saw this dress and I just couldn't walk away from it!
I had been thinking purple or green, nothing strapless, and something classic/elegant. Well I went to this barn sale (donations of clothes, dishes etc to the church resold for cheap) near my parents house for their half price day today since I had found quite a few good things there before, and my fiance and I were flipping through the dress rack when I found it!

It is a plum color, silk with a kind of tulle at the bottom there. It comes just below my knees. The material is light enough I won't sweat to death but heavy enough I won't freeze either. It looks A-line but because of the fabric it is much more flowy so it hits my curves but I can still move it in effortlessly.It's elegant, classic, and yet has a slight romantic touch to it in the right plum shade; it's perfect.
I put it on and it fit amazing. I knew I was far out from the elopement, and that we had not even really talked about what my budget would even be for the dress. But this was just a chance I could not pass up because if I found something better (which there is no way I can!) I still definitely have money left to spend. I mean I spent four dollars on my dress, cannot get better: perfect dress, perfect price.
