Did anyone get anything they didnt put on their registry that made you go OMG WOW?

Yesterday we got a huge box and inside was a tiffany & co box. One of his aunts bought us a beautiful cake plate. Im actually afraid to use it because im afraid to break it. LOL.  I havent owned anything from Tiffanys previously but it really is a beautiful piece. I have to get a china cabinet ASAP. We also wound upgetting 12 table settings of the lenox china/flatware/ and stemware we liked.  

I literally have a room at my inlaws with wall to wall shower gifts and we are still getting things delivered almost daily. I can honestly say we are moving in to our house in July with everything but a vacuum cleaner. LOL

    we have all our wedding gifts in the dining room of our new house since we have no dining room furniture. What china pattern did you register for? So many girls don't anymore (I'm so excited for a formal dining room!) We registered for Vintage Jewel.

    We didn't get anything that wasn't on the registry.  We didn't register for china b/c I inherited my grandmothers china set when she passed away and he was given his grandmother's set when she passed.  Ironically there are the same pattern. 

    But I have to say anything that arrives in a tiffany blue box is always Amazing.  Use it and enjoy it that is the purpose of having it.  We've been known to eat spaghetti on the good china just b/c.

    We got quite a few things not on our registry, but things that made us say WOW in a bad way ;p

    We went with Floral Waltz for our main plates...


    but our accent plates are a different set. amazingly enough, they go really really well. my MIL is a lenox-aholic. She is very good with patterns etc. and i wasnt fond of the continous pattern of all those flowers. so i went with something similiar but not as floral. When i get everything out of boxes i will have to post up a pic. I love my china. I just know it will only come out on special occasions.

    We also a few of these mikasa  sets we registered for, currently have 5 sets but need to pick up 3 more:



    I call them my in between set. I really wanted sets of square dishes. Im weird. But they will be for when we have people over...non holiday.

    And 2 x 16 pc sets of my every day dishes



    I have dishes, plates, bowls and glasses up the ying yang. BUT i can now toss my old crap.

    We got a package yesterday from one of my friends (and her new H) who can't make it to the wedding.  She was only registered for one set of toasting flutes, but somehow managed to get 3...she sent us a set, along with some other cute wedding things (a bride hoodie and tote, groom hm flipflops, and a cute wedding gown wine bottle cover).  I really love the toasting flutes...they are Kate Spade!  I don't even care that she didn't buy them herself, because they are brand new and gorgeous!

    We didn't buy ourselves any and we didn't put a set on our registry, so I'm exciting that we'll have such pretty glasses to use at our wedding. :)

    I haven't gotten anything.  Like at all.  We had a smaller registry (about 35 items) and only 5 things were bought from it.  I'm worried.

    The things that we have received that were not on our registry were really nice gifts! I was kind of surprised. We did get this weird gift from my mom's friend, who wasn't even invited to our wedding... it's a rooster pitcher... I plan to exchange it for something else.
