Destination Wedding/ Guestbook?

I'm not sure whether I should get a guestbook or something similar for my wedding. We are getting married in Jamaica and will only have 19 guests. Would it be a waste to buy a guestbook of some sort or do you think I should have one even if there will only be 19 guests?

Thanks!

My husband and I are both scuba divers. We had a small wedding and didn't want a traditional guest book, so we got a few diving slates for our guests to write on. We framed them and have them on display in our living room.

I don't think guest books - in whatever form, traditional or offbeat - are a waste of money at all :-). But if you think they are, don't worry about it.

If you decide to go with one, think outside the box :-) Find something you and your fiance are both interested in, and turn it into a guest book!
  • I don't think the number of guests should determine whether or not you have a guest book.  We did not have a guest book; I think they are a waste of money.  But ... if it's your thing, it's your thing.
  • how about you give each of your guest a post card from your location and ask them to write you and your husband a message and then either give them to you or mail it once they get home.  that might be a really nice way for your guest to share their thoughts and wishes with you without the need for a guestbook.  you could even create a photo album or scrapbook with them.  just a thought :)
