Limo???

We will be getting married in  a very, very little city (about 10 thousand ppl) and the longest distance from one point to other is 10 minutes max. I just think that it will be a waste of money to pay around $400 just to to go to the church and from there to the reception hall on a limo.
So I thought of my son driving me oin a regular car and after the ceremony, we will leave from the church driving. What do you think about it? Please give me your thoughts.

I think you'll be great doing that! We're doing that except it with my FIL's car and my FI is driving us!

Save the $400 and spend it on your HM!!!

We are getting a party bus and spending half the amount.  The limo was not worth the expense for us--and we have a big wedding party and didn't want to be cramped in there!

I don't think there is anything wrong with saving that money and having your son drive you--it can be a special moment for him, too!

We aren't doin a limo either ... our reception location and church are about 5 min from eachother and it wasn't worth it to us either!!

Save your money.  Our wedding and reception are at the same venue (wedding outside and reception in the lodge).  We might borrow a friends vintage car to drive that night to the hotel/casino but we aren't quite sure.  I don't think a limo would be worth it though.
