Cheap videographer recommendation?

I would like pro video of my wedding, but I'm really not willing to spend $1,000 on it. I would spend a couple hundred maybe.

All I want is for the camera to be steady, the shot to include all the necessary people, and the sound to pick up well on the recording. No frills or special editing jobs. Just straight video of the ceremony and some video of the reception.

Any ideas of who would do this? I would just have family/friend do it, but I want them to be able to enjoy my wedding, and I don't really trust anyone I know to not do a shotty job...lol

Oh, and the farther south from Chicago, the better. We are wayyy south of the burbs, more in central IL, but there's nothing and nobody out here!!!

Try contacting the media department of your local college. You can get a local college kid to do it for a couple hundred bucks, they are usually starving for money!

Post an ad or search on Craigslist, that's how we originally found Jeff of Shoot the Bride Films!

I posted an ad on Craigslist and got an overwhelming response. People were willing to do it for anywhere from $200 to a couple thousand.

Our videographer is in New Lenox, which is far south, near Joliet. They are Midwest Video Productions of Illinois. I know they will work with you if you are on a bidget. They have been great so far.
