Marriage License Question

FI has me paranoid that I have my info incorrect so I wanted to check with you ladies.  

We can apply for the marriage license now for our June 18th wedding and the application is valid for 6 months.  Once we pick up the license that is only valid for 30 days.  Is this right?  

Just wondering because FI is taking a 1/2 day from work tomorrow so we can drive to NJ to get the license application done.

    I've only ever heard of doing 30 days prior- not 60. Have you called the town hall of the town that you're getting married in? I would defintiley double-check.

    Yes, that is correct. I just met with an officiant last weekend. You can apply 6 months early, but can't pick it up until 30 days before your wedding.

    Thanks!  I've been trying to contact the borough all day, but its a small beach town and the staff is minimal.  I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone there all day that knows the answer.

    Yes you can apply now but the day you pick it up it will be valid for 30 days from that date
