wine

Anyone have suggestions on where to get wine by the case on the cheap? Of course, I want it to be good. : )

3 buck chuck at Trader Joe's (aka Charles Schwab) is a pretty good blend that most people like. It's not all high-class snob, but is actually a really great value for the usual price.

Also check Costco. Plus about Costco is you can return unopened bottles.

We did a mix of Costco and Safeway.  We got magnum bottles and regular bottles, depending on what was available, price, etc.  One of our whites had a $24/case rebate which we did, another was magnum bottles of a red, and the other red we got in regular bottles from Safeway when they were on sale and since we got 2 cases worth, we got the 10% pack discount on top of the sale price.  As PP stated, Costco is nice because you can return the unused wine with a receipt.

Huh. My DOC told me you cannot return wine to Costco... Anyway, we got some of our wine at the Wine Outlet in Seattle on Elliot for $8/bottle. The rest we got at Pete's Wine Shop. I HIGHLY recommend them. If you tell them you're buying for your wedding you get a bigger discount & they will help you with pairing based on your menu. They have a location in Seattle & Bellevue.

I am going to check out the Grocery Outlet. My boss was hosting something at our work and I went down there with her to get wine & beer. It's really cheap. I saw it from $2-10 a bottle.

I second Pete's Wine Shop. We used them and they were great.
