Bridal Shower???

I am not the type to like/want surprises, where is a nice place in Stamford/Norwalk area to have a bridal shower for about 50-60 people? Nothing too expensive...

I don't know Norwalk that well, but I've been to a private Christmas party at the Sono Brewhouse before.  The upstairs is a great space for a shower.  It's definitely big enough to accommodate 50-60 people and the food is good.   I don't know what kind of feel you're going for though.  If you want really elegant or fine dining, that wouldn't be the right space for you. If you're more laid back, it would be great.

You can try the Red Barn in Westport or SBC in Southport but both of these places are more rustic. Giovanni's in Darien is really nice, my FSIL had her rehearsal there and the food was great.

What kind of food or feel are you going for? Are you thinking restaurant or hall type place?

Agree, Brewhouse has a casual feel to it & has the upstairs.  Saltwater Grille in Stamford is right on the water & beautiful. Giovanni's (Darien) does have smaller rooms as well.

Thanks for all of the suggestions ladies!! I have been to one at Red Barn and also one at Long Ridge Tavern in Stamford. I'm looking for something laid back but not too casual. I think Salt Water Grill may be a good idea. I'm looking for a location with that type of feel.

Are you looking to throw your own shower?

If the ladies who would host one are looking for opinions, it's great to offer, but PLEASE don't be the person to go forward with the information on good places.  It can put your hosts in an awkward position - particularly since a shower in a venue can get very expensive compared to one in someone's home.

Instead, relax and go with the flow and if people do ask, just say, "I'd rather you tell me when it is."
