Budget Videographers

So I saw kfesta's post yesterday regarding videographers and am feeling the same way!!!  My sister used Digital Media Odyssey back in 2006 and Matt's work was amazing but unfortunately not in my budget.  Is it possible to spend about $1500? I know the quality might not be as good as the higher end videographers but I in the end, I just want to be able to see the important stuff.  Thoughts?

Thanks.

Re: Budget Videographers

  • We're using Louis from Capture It All in milford: http://captureitall.com/ He has really affordable packages. We're paying about $1500 for ceremony, photo session and reception coverage.  He edits the footage and provides 3 dvds, including a highlight clip set to music (like a preview).

  • I'm using RI Video Pro. He offers a package for $1,200 with all the works, but there are also cheaper packages available.
  • We are using the videographer from Music in Motion and they are exactly $1500.

  • Check out Randall Jenkins videography out of Hartford. We're paying about a thousand and his work is awesome - very inspired. Also he's coming to us in Norwalk and doesn't charge a travel/mileage fee like some of the more established guys do

  • The videographer I mention in the other thread was REALLY inexpensive.  He covered about 4 hours for us, just ceremony, cocktail hour and first dance and I think it was $550.  We did not get documentary style editing though.  He did an amazing job.
