grooms cake recommendations

Ok, so our venue provides the cake for our wedding. I've been toying with the idea of getting a "grooms" cake to have at our rehearsal dinner, but don't know what the running price is or any cake recommendations.... any suggestions ladies? Thanks!

    We had a rehearsal dinner/groom's cake from Peice of Cake Desserts, and it was SO yummy. I want to say it was Vanilla or Almond Essence cake (though I am leaning towards almond) with their Orangesicle filling, and we served it as dessert with raspberry Haagen Dazs sorbet. Soooo goood - people loved it, and Kevin and Amy were so great to work with.
     
    We did a simple rectangular sheetcake with buttercream frosting and an edible image of our (Playbill) program cover photo in the middle. I want to say it ran about $80, and we picked it up from their bakery the day before the RD.
